I use IE8 on the "InPrivate" mode for my adult viewing.  Since the new TER, I can't view more than a thread or 2 before I get the dredded "Hung App" error.  Surfing TER isn't fun anymore.  I guess I made a mistake in re-upping VIP again.

I never had this issue with the TER Classic.  I don't want to have to go to a new brouser just to get around this BS problem.

Well, I do just fine with IE8 on every other site (both normal & in private).  I was just getting to LIKE the new TER.  I just want to do my thing without a lot of fuss.

I presume that eventually TER Classic will go away.

While IE8 is better, IE was always the least compatible browser out there (as far as compliance with coding internet standard web sites).

Check the link for browser testing info.

before dumping on TER site. Realize that there are thousands and thousands of users visiting TER daily without problems wit all kinds of browsers. Like someone mentioned, Microsoft is famous for creating their own versions of software by altering and modifying standards and IE is no exception, although they are making it more standards compliant since they support HTML5.

Try Firefox, Opera or Safari, all three has the private browsing. As a point of fact, IE 8 private browsing ties into Windows firewall which causes few issues depending on the firewall setup hence, some having problem and others not having problems.
