I know there are dating sites for people with HSV (herpes), but I was wondering if there is a TER-like site for us too?  Or some way to search for people that are in the same boat?  Thanks.

I just read that up to 70% of the US adult population has HSV1 (cold sores) and up to 18% have the less common HSV2 (known as genitel herpes).

I just did my 6 month STI test (routine for safety) and had time to read while waiting in the lobby.  Otherwise, I would not have noticed this fact.

Everyone play safe!!

don't sweat it. protection is mandatory so if you are asymptomatic it is still up to the other side to contract and if they haven't by now they likely wont. obviously if you aren't oozing from somewhere and cover up ( maybe suggest the cbj ) everyone is likely as safe as always.

According to the attached info from the CDC, the herpes virus can be passed even when the person who has it is asymptomatic and has no visible sores or other symptoms.

" if you are asymptomatic it is still up to the other side to contract and if they haven't by now they likely wont. " if the other side is VULNERABLE then yes greater danger but look at the statistics of transmission. May as well stick to one life long partner if you want to play it safely and don't kiss anyone anywhere for the rest of your life. Vulnerability can include a weakened immune system, fatigue stress or cuts and open wounds making contact. Furthermore people develop antibodies over time thus the incidence in pre 49 year olds

that would not allow even a light kiss on the lips for fear of HSV1, but she would gobble that goob in about 2 seconds....go figure..
