I avoid providers who announce their retirements for several reasons.
1. It's a marketing ploy. Cram as many guys in as you can with no intentions of actually retiring. I don't like to fall for it. How many times have we seen it?
2. Providers who do intend to retire feel they are no longer accountable (via reviews) and offer sub par performances.
3. A few of them had turned into ROB's and took deposits without delivering.
Back to 1. You are not retired when you come back three weeks after a vacation.
Please spare us a moronic count down. How pathetic! Just fade away next time. OK?
They claim to retire 25 times to make more money on the Farewell Tour. Total BS.
Old providers never quit, they just get fatter, saggier, more wrinkly, and become more bitter.
You hate men anyway and are a fraud. Speaking of retirement-- aren't you passed due???
Over the past year and a half, all have come back. One promoted her pending retirement for six damn months. For the reasons stated above, I usually avoid them like the plague and then they become persona non grata for the inevitable comeback special and thereafter. Regrettably many guys are gullible.
I do think many start with legitimate intentions of retirement however two things occur. Like other vices, it is hard to quit the first time. Also many providers also find that it is hard to make the kind of money they made in the hobby in the real world or there are unwilling to downsize their lifestyle to their new income levels.
Usually the best sign to retire is when the phone stops ringing and the inbox is empty.
I have to admit I have seen similar myself. I am of course unaware of the foundation that the companion "retired" on, but certainly I have seen two that announced their retirement, only to never retire.
Which is my point, it becomes humerous at times, but there is no need for the OP's rant.
Every girl I know who has ever actually retired chose to just disappear without a trace.
I have seen the "retirement ads" for a year and a half now on the Chicago boards, and at least for me, I find it rather comical (given the gals that are continually using this method). But they are not looking for me to pay attention to this ad, rather the daily influx of new hobbyists who have no real clues as to the "providers marketing strategy". And in all reality, if it is working for those gals that is all that really matters.
I have also witnessed certain ladies who quietly slip off into the sunset, only to return some time later. And in those cases I look at that and (quietly) wonder what took her off the market, and what brought her back. But those are just those "quiet" moments when I ponder if she (collectively) will really be able to move on from providing.
And truthfully, for some of the really great ladies I have met, I hope that when they finally decide to move on they find all the happiness that they deserve. Just don't post the "retirement ads"!
What a pompas insulting post. Did you leave all logic back in the office before you sat down to write this?
Item #1: I wonder what you do for a living? Ever do any marketing? Or be part of a company that does do marketing? Better yet, ever go to a store that ran a sale? Ever buy something because there are "only 3 seats/parcels/copies left"? Ever respond to a piece of advertizing in a positive way? If so, you are a hypocrit for complaining about a harmless marketing ploy. Every business markets in some way, and their marketing does nothing to force you to make a date, so why do you care if it is a marketing "ploy"?
Item #2: Not my experience at all. I have seen three ladies who not only were retiering, but I was their last appointment on their last day working. OK, so I was their only appointment on their last days. Wow! for all three it was a very special session filled that went well beyond their normal. With one lady in particular she saved all her last month for repeat favored clients and from what other guys said each appointment went well, well overtime. She even had a keepsake present for many (all?) of us. maybe your poor experience (assuming you saw some retiering ladies) had nothing to do with them retiering, but with other issues. Maybe even you, who knows?
Item #3: Here is some really "sound" logic. Not. A few of them went bad so you are willing to condemn a whole group of people? Hey, SOME ice offworkers slack off during the month they are going to retire, so every boss shoul fire all workers as soon as they announce they will retire. That has as much logic as your argument.
You think it is pathetic that a furniture store in my town has been advertizing "goin out of business" events for 10 years? SO WHAT! So a lady thought she was retiering because you told her you would take care of her needs, then three weeks later you dumped her and she has to go back to work--what harm does that cause you? If you like her, it is another chance to see her. If you do not like her, go see someone else.
I bet most women reading your post wish you would just fade away and not call them.
