TER General Board

STAFF, this is not a complaint, but it would be nice if we were given a brief ...regular_smile

explanation about the new provider and moderator message boards that were just started. I personally support a board where the providers can inform each other of potential dangerous situations/clients as long as sensitive information is not revealed. As long as this is the ONLY type of information to be shared. I know that sounds like what's good for the goose isn't necessarily good for the gander, but that's JMHO.

PT,

I echo your sentiments.  It is NOT fair that the providers have full access to all of the reviews and such, and that TER members do NOT have access to their boards.

I think having the focus of TER should be on reviews on providers, and not vice-versa.

Just my 2 cents

they have a private board. Just as long as if it is private it is only to communicate possible harm to one another or to discuss items unrelated to their clients and not "reviews" per say of clients.

I feel we should be able to post that on the board, if a client wasn't respectful or we had an unpleasant time, I feel providers have the right to know!

If men were allowed to read it, then we couldn't be open and honest and feel comfortable venting.  The whole purpose of that board would be lost!!!

I have debated for months on the need of a provider message board. The provider board is to get info out to the providers in a safe and private manner.  It is also a place where providers can ask other providers questions that they would be to embarrassed to ask in a public forum. It is not to review or "out" any members.  NO MEMBER NAMES OR INFORMATION WILL BE ALLOWED IN THAT FORUM.

I thought that that would be the case. You have my support for your efforts STAFF.

The new Provider board is a place where providers can ask each other questions about the business and help each other out with advice, such as tips for screening, improving service, advertising, selecting a webpage, and other such matters.  Providers may also vent when they need to--without naming names--and encourage and support one another.

It is NOT a place to discuss individual clients, and client reviews, names or personal information will NOT be allowed.  The forum will be closely moderated, and only known providers who have reviews on TER and who have VIP membership can participate.

We are looking to provide a friendly, helpful, positive place, not a man-bashing one.  I am hoping that through helping and encouraging one another in positive ways we might protect ourselves better and always offer our best selves to our clients.

Congrats --its a good idea. In order to really make it successful, you may want to offer VIP memberships for free to providers who allow themselves to be reviewed. This will greatly increase the number of providers that read your board and also will help when you want to expand well beyond California.
The complaint I hear from providers is why do they have to pay money when guys can write reviews and get free membership. Just something to think about.

Click on the button at the top of this page that says 'Discussion Boards'. The page you takes you too has the discussion boards listed on the left side. The two new boards are right above the links to the city boards.

Thanks, for some reason my browser wouldn't refresh. One I dumped the cache, the new links displayed properly.
