Consensual adult sex work, especially if it avoids the current-era minefields of interstate commerce and "trafficking," generally falls under state and local jurisdiction. FOSTA-SESTA which is, as has been correctly observed, a bipartisan "do-gooder" monstrosity that pre-dates Trump, weaves elements of both those minefields with overbroad and vague language such that no one wants to be the first test case. If some local jurisdictions were to legalize it, as DC and NY are discussing, that might go a long way toward forcing some kind of resolution or at least some kind of accommodation, as in Federal vs State differences re marijuana. As for Trump, or any other politician (GOP or DEM), there's nothing in the current climate that would tend to elevate this issue to the top of anyone's agenda. It's a sure-fire loser since activists on both the left and the right would be sure to pounce. Whatever you feel about Trump, you could insert pretty much anyone else into his spot and, at least on this issue, you'd get pretty much the same result.
