If guys simply aren't available during the holidays it may not matter if you offer a discount or not.  Best of luck whatever you decide.

Robbin is amazing. She's had a couple lately, especially one on the LV board I think, that were priceless. She's got little if any shame. LOL.  

You gave her something to consider but didn't say you would do X or Y if you were her. It makes perfect sense to me for her to discount in the off months if she needs the income.

That said, I certainly will take a compatible gal out to dinner OTC after she fucks my brains out

ladies are intrigued by your eggar and word has it many are in need of oral stimulation ( hummingbird or tweety as some call it ).  broaden your menu and perhaps start by taking this young lady out . and we can all read the review afterwards . maybe shes game for some otc time instead of reduction and if she worded the thread differently perhaps asking us guys what would entice us during the holiday season she wouldn't be getting so much slack .  

Otherwise you'd not have responded as you did.  My implicit advice was dropping your rate won't get you more business. Unless I know the gal, seeing she's dropped her rate just smells of desperation. And desperation isn't sexy. Actually, it's kinda the opposite.

I have a hobby budget.  I may admire photos of ladies who are outside of it, but that's about it.  If a lady lowers her price to fall within my budget, then I'll consider her.  Indeed, this has happened before.  It's a win-win situation.

OK, you got blasted for posting what looks like a threAD. Such is life on the GD; no biggie.  

That's not what she was talking about to begin with, at least in my view.  And of course she needs the money or she wouldn't be thinking about doing it.  My point was only that, if she does it, my guess is it won't drive her any more business because the issue is that over the holidays guys have too many family obligations and it restricts their ability to play.. In other words, I never said I had a "problem" with her "offering a winter/holiday discount."  I simply said I had my doubts it would work.  If you go back and read my initial posts on this, you'll see that's what I meant.
I also never took a position on the general question of discounts, only on doing it at this time of year.  So please don't put words in my mouth that were never there.  Discounts can and do get my attention.  It's just that I doubt discounts at this time of year work.  That's all I said.

I have the good fortune to live in Dallas where I have no reason to spend more than $300 hour to see a lady of the highest caliber. I routinely simply ignore ads that are at a price point of $400 or more, BUT if I see a $400 hr lady that strikes my fancy is available at $300, I will be more than happy to see her at that rate.

Unlike Jack, I am much too lazy to negotiate the rate, but I don't see a thing wrong with it. She can either say yes or no. This whole "disrespecting a hooker" by negotiating her rate is complete bullshit IMO, even if I rarely do so myself.

Because you just completely mis-characterized it.  Since I know you must be stewed to the gills I will distill it for you. I made several things clear:
1) There is nothing wrong with discounts, per se, and I have taken advantage of them myself.  My answer was not, repeat NOT, about discounts in general.  Just about the effectiveness of discounts during the upcoming holidays.  I simply said because guys have many family commitments they have less time to play so I doubted a discounted rate would solve that problem.
2) My posts had nothing, repeat, nothing, about negotiating rates.  You will not find a single statement about that in my posts.  Unless it was to say I wasn't discussing negotiating.
3) Please show me where I said anything about negotiating being "disrespecting a hooker." I won't hold my breath, because you won't find that in any of my posts either.

NEVER will I offer any incentive to someone I have never met. IF and only IF the guy is easy I MIGHT offer something in good faith to keep him. NEVER will I discount if asked.  

Here, he's just talking about discounts but he's not talking about "haggling or negotiating.'  Two very different things.
