I found some pens and a magnet for this site in my desk. After a good chuckle, I had to post it. I just spoke with my co-workers about it and they said the guy I replaced started this site and has retired off it at 33. I have asked enough people now that I am pretty sure I am not the butt of an elaborate joke. (They are not uncommon here). Not so funny now.
1. Suppose the police catch a serial killer and convict him and put him away for a SINGLE murder for 15 years to life.
2. The guy has a good lawyer (he's only serving a minimum of 15 years) and is appealing the verdict on technicalities.
3. Prosecutors later get more evidence for murders they know this guy committed or uncover additional murders. They go to trial again and attempt to pile on more sentences so the guy never gets out of jail.
P.S. just served jury duty. got let out after the trial (no deliberations) since I was an alternate.
If you've ever watched TV crime shows (e.g. "Law & Order") I've heard sentences for, say murder, to be "20 year to life". This means the person serves a minimum of 20 years, and after that, it is up to the discretion of law enforcement as to whether the person has be rehabilitated and therefore eligible to be released (on parole).
Anyone ever tell you that the female is the more deadly of the species. Having your heart broken by a provider is one thing but having it cut out with a serving spoon and then eaten while you watch is all together different.
$5.00 subscription is cheap enough; But to pay to correspond with a gal with a proven lack of social conformity evades logic. These women have been put there for a reason!! (Same goes for male convicts)
It's interesting that there are these types of sites. Clearly, there is no doubt that some of these women belong in prison rather than anywhere else and that society is the safer for it. On the other hand, some of these women, especially those who were very young when convicted, may have just made bad choices, were unduly influenced by others, and are nice people at heart who sincerely regret the rash actions which put them in prison and hope to make a fresh start once their debt to society is paid. Perhaps some of these women were badly beaten by the men in their lives and were desperate to end the abuse, but had few options other than with violence. Who knows? Perhaps others were put into prison for victimless crimes such as prostitution. A small percentage of these women are probably innocent, having been wrongly convicted! In my humble opinion, we shouldn't generalize and pronounce all these women "evil" without knowing the specific facts. What's really sad is the loss in human terms in all cases - lives wasted and destroyed, whether with regard to the convicts, the victims, or other third parties such as the families of the convicts and victims.
Remember her? She's the lady who murdered her two kids by strapping them into carseats and then driving the car into a lake in South Carolina.
She got life. If you can't impose the death penalty in a coldblooded case like this, you might as well take it off the books. Women commit their share of the murders in this country. Yet only five or six women have been executed since the death penalty came back in 1976.
Capital punishment is mainly meted out to black men who can't afford good lawyers.
I looked at this site and there are some very good looking women on it. At first I thought it was some kind of escort mall, made to look "kinky". But everyone who has written a post seems to accept that it's legit. I can't believe that there are so many cute gals behind bars. Makes me want to be a CO
