POV Porn....yea or nay?
The interesting thing is that while my porn tastes are pretty exotic, my hobby tastes are more to the plain vanila. Every time I try something a bit outre in the hobby, I find that the actuallity never gets to the level of the anticipation.
As Spock once said, "You may find that having is not so pleasing a thing, after all, as wanting." Ah, "Star Trek," is there a problem you CAN'T solve? 
Okay, that's my "Big Bang Theory" moment. Seriously, yeah, I can see that. You watch the porn, you get all excited by the fantasy, but when you actually try to do what you saw, you find that it's not as much fun to DO the deed as it is to SEE the deed being done (often because, dammit, you actually have to WORK at it
). The answer, of course, is to stick with what you know works for YOU, and if you need to change it up every once in a while, don't get too elaborate. When it's your money on the line, that's the best way to get a good ROI.I just happened to flash on TBBT because I saw the episode where Amy was getting aroused by a hunky guy, and Sheldon recommended that she use the Vulcan teachings of Kolinahr to purge all emotion (ala Spock in ST:TMP). Amy then called Trek "cheap science fiction," whereby Sheldon then tried to use Kolinahr to purge his anger.
