My thread about stranded on a deserted island with only two albums got pulled. Not sure why, but it said it was "not allowed". I checked the posting rules and couldn't find a rule I violated.
Anyone else posting less because they feel it is a waste of time with so many posts being pulled?
Just checked "my message boards" to find about 1 in 5 of my recent posts have been pulled for a variety of reasons.
"Shill post" is high on my list of crimes. Can't a guy be nice anymore? Actually the "shill" was not from me, but the whole thread got pulled for that reason.
I have been a loyal fan of TER and significant contributor for a long time, but am displeased with several of the recent changes. If a new (competitive) board pops up, I would not be at all surprised if many jump ship. I would certainly check things out elsewhere.

we will just have to spend more time getting laid....lol.
Shill.....i'm guilty also. Like u said, just being nice.
i have seen ladies..they come to town..i say hello..i am a shill..that is what i never understood..how does saying hello promote their business?
Shill.....i'm guilty also. Like u said, just being nice.
Have you had posts pulled for that?
Neither is recommending a gal when someone asks for recommendations. but starting a whole thread to praise a provider is a shill post.
I usually don't get involved in this discussion but your post hit a nerve, particularly the "shill post" issue. Just noting your review history (100+, damn! That's a lot of pussy!), if you have something nice to say about a girl here, I want to hear it! If one of our faves is visiting a location she's never been before, why shouldn't we share that information with our fellow hobbyists? Isn't that exchange of information one of the basic ideas here.
The answer, unfortunately, is that like all other organizations, this one is run and administered by human beings, some of whom get full of themselves and petty and there you go. Never going to change so I've just learned to accept it and remember this really is just "hobby" for me, not my source of identity as it appears to be for others here!
I put up a cute post on the Boston board asking about fetishes and it was pulled when only
one of the replies got out of hand.
Funny thing. I was just about to create a post talking about moderators of forums getting all emotional and banning people for petty things. I just got banned from another message board for God knows what and one of my reviews just got unapproved on here. There's waayy too much censoring on the internet as far as I'm concerned. Too many moderators getting emotional and too many sites wanting you to just go with the norm. Anything out of the norm and your banned or your post is pulled.
The answer that came back was your post was considered an Ad. It was not any of the replies that got it pulled.
This censorship is getting harder to deal with every day.
you also announced a major wardrobe investment: a leather catsuit. Most hobbyists would have to gift their provider with one of those, if she would actually accept one and wear it for him.
The threads that are getting pulled are ones that have members bitching about life...and then posts commenting on their bitching. So who's complaining? A few members who simply want nothing but nicey nice posts about nothing in general?
And why would some members bitch and complain about the thread that PSSOM started? You and I had an interesting side bar on that one...and that got pruned...err chopped down as well!!
If TER is looking for nothing regarding any interesting and possibly controversial posting...then they are doing the right things. And hopefully they will take note that other "competitors" are indeed firing up their sites as we speak.
And all that may be left here are a couple of folks that want to discuss "where do i put my cum?".
Only with your PSSOM comment. That was a blatant shill post! You are one who always comments on the ladies and their faux ads. Why should the guys be able to post faux ads? That might not have been his intention but that is sure how it came out. I think back in the old days, LP or GaG would have pulled that thread too, as well as Fax's non topic desert island thread. Personally, I have no problem with those two threads being pulled.
On the other hand, most of the other threads that get pruned or completely eliminated shouldn't be, but I think it's a few itchy fingers. Some of those "bitching about life, act like they want feedback but then report the posts of anyone disagreeing. Now anyone can start a thread and report every reply that disagrees, so we have a bunch of threads with an OP and a bunch of agreeing replies. Makes for some boring boards.
By the way, I still don't know where to put my cum![]()
Are you moderated now? How can you argue on the board if you are moderated? Shit. Talk about boring boards...![]()
My thread about stranded on a deserted island with only two albums got pulled. Not sure why, but it said it was "not allowed". I checked the posting rules and couldn't find a rule I violated.
That is the basic rule of the board in clear letters right at the top of the page:
"This is a moderated forum dedicated to discussing the hobby, erotica, and sex related subjects. Please note, flames and posts outside of the forum topics will be removed."
The simple solution to that would have been to ask "If you were stranded on a desert island with a provider, what two albums...?"
Ok, thanks. I had seen other topics that were not sex-related, so I (mistakenly) assumed that it was okay. Next time I'll add enough sex to the topic to hopefully keep it on the board!

Obviously some of those posts get by. I guess it just depends if admin actually notices it, or if some reader notices and decides to report it. You can try posting your same thread (or something similar) with a slight tweak (as I mentioned above) and see what happens.
But it would have been nice if when they did pull your post they actually told you something like "not topic related" instead of just "not allowed."
I agree that too many posts get pulled and too many threads get eliminated or pruned. Right after the changes in February, this was happening in a big way, then things started stabilizing and more posts were allowed to stay again and even some big trainwrecks remained, but lately the pendulum is swinging the other way again. Probably just a few people reporting posts like crazy. I have no doubt that some of them are the very people who start threads or post in a thread and then don't like the replies they get so they report the posts of the replies they don't like, and then the thread is pruned.
On the other hand, the "shill" thread and fax's desert island thread would have gotten pulled even in the "old" days when we had volunteer moderators. Those are blatant rule violations.
And as far as shilliing, there is a difference between "being nice" and running an ad for a gal.
reasonably successful "hobby" boards become lame, irrelevant, and die due to
OVER MODERATION!
These TER boards were "THE" boards for most of the 00's because aside from a few personality/drama clashes from time to time; Free speech and expression was the rule.
The new oligarchy wished to streamline and tidy TER up a bit by marketing too the meek. Funny thing is the MEEKEST alumni and Whitest of Knights of past find no pleasure in the NEW discussion board banality.

I was on a board that was barely moderated and it became a hate fest. There were guys posting some really nasty sh*t and it basically chased all the ladies away.
No-one likes to read a bunch of hurtful insults being hurled daily...it gets old and those this crap is directed at finally leave and all you have a is a bunch of hating little dicks with no-one to harangue.
That board had no alias feature so the ladies could not go on under an alias and dish back, it was like shooting fish in a barrel. The ladies basically had to deal with the Dbags who thought their crap was funny. I hate being so PC and would prefer to say it how it really is. At least on here a lady can have an alias or use a name differing from her stage name and not link to her identity (like me...
)and give some back without ruining her rep or business, hopefully without the mods back channelling her true identity.
I like a more spirited board and yes I can see where you're coming from but come on, people tend to revert to school yard bullying and name calling when left with minimal supervision. Or is that what is wanted?
(Benjamin Franklin)
The boards may now be more "user friendly"; but at what cost?
TER could have taken the effort to weed out the real "bullies" and abusers; but they chose to "streamline", and the result is in the impetus to this thread.
I have my alias to protect so mums the word one them but there is at least two ways TER outs aliases and none involve TER back channeling the info. Back channeling of aliases does happen on top of TER features doing the outing. Plus people can tell writing styles if enough examples are given. Never depend on aliases to protect you.
I'm a relative newbie here, I had let a previous username 'go dark'. Less than half my posts get published. One listed the reason as "I requested it be deleted!" when I hadn't... I had the impression that it was pulled because I didn't suck-up to the lady posting, now it sounds like they don't like shill posts, so I'm clueless... I'm not about to start a dialog to determine why my dialog didn't get posted. Boards have a shelf life, even without LE attempting to take them down....

Some less moderated forums get filled up with so much junk it is difficult to find good information or have a meaningful discussion. There may be many posts that the mods clean up that we don't hear about because the posts were actually bad posts. In trying to keep the forum in line, they may make some mistakes.
And yeah, I had one of my first posts pulled a couple of times. In hindsight, it seems like it could have been a shill post, but that was not the reason I was given when it was axed. I still am a little unsure of how I could have properly posted what I wanted to say. Meh...
Hope Admin will come back with some answers there. Maybe they are not making the decisions themselves. Maybe they are being manipulated by someone who has figured out how to abuse the "report this post" button.
I can tone it down a bit, but I will never be the suck ass, "says what everyone wants to hear" type.
"tone it down" or "suck up"
But it sucks being moderated, because how can you have a productive discussion if your posts take hours to go up? Then again, if trigger happy fingers keep reporting posts, you can't have a productive discussion anyway!
Inicky got moderated again for no apparent reason and left the boards again, and now CPA is moderated. WTF?!
And I still can't figure out where to put my cum or what size dick is the right size!
What about Kim Kardashian
Fuglies nude at the beach
Hooker entrepreuners
Gmail
Hobby phones
I can't tell you how exciting all of this has become...but then I don't need to tell you that. You already know.
Looks like there may be some alternatives not far down the road. And then WE can get back to having fun!
I've been busy and this board is too pussified to be interesting, so I have been absent - has Mikey returned?
Just remember you asked for this change when you begged for the removal of the mods. Have fun.
He could possibly be banned at this time, but his exit from TER was his choice.
