We all know that a Private investigators are an effective and important tool which attorneys can use to uncover evidence of adultery.

I got a strange phone call this week from a guy that said his name was Bill and asked if I knew ******* from Maryland. He said that someone had been calling my # from his cell phone and the phone company were making him pay for the calls.

I immediately responded by saying no I do not know anyone from that area and I were curious to know myself why my # is on his bill when I do not know anyone from that area and that he should ask the phone company to call me directly since I use the same company and since I do not know who he is it is confirmed that he should take it up with the phone company. I ended the call by saying that I myself have limited time on my phone and consider answering his question was not my intended use to use up my cell time and just hung up the phone.

My 1st question is that was this guy for real or is he really an investigator investigating a client.

My second question is that how can someone charge phone calls to a cell phone. (can it be done) If so how could my # be on his bill five to ten time, because I do not know anyone from that area that would call me on a "regular basic" client or friend.

Ask yourself if you recognized the name the caller asked you about. (Such a clear question, I really should learn to speak). I mean, he said he was Bill and did you know so & so from wherever. Observing the cardinal rule of discretion, you evaded (good work). The truth however is.....either yes or no. If yes, then there is a good probability that it was someone investigating the calls-either an investigotr or an emloyer trying to find out why a business phone has these calls, etc.

If you don't know so & so, that doesn't rule out the possibility a client has been feeding you BS info, but it is possible that the callers cell number was hacked (it happens a lot...called phreaking).

Either way, I'd be carefull (DUH).
