Here is my question: if the money I give a provider is for her time and not for services rendered, then why does she need to verify who I am via LinkedIn, DL, etc. I understand if she wants to make sure you are not an asshole, but none of those things will do that. And since no laws are being broken by exchanging time for money, it shouldn't matter what your profession is.

I care whom I share my time with & need to have a true connection. Vetted potential clients allows me the ability to see if we may have chemistry. As a single mom my safety is my #1 priority, so I do verify you’re not a person I need to worry about sharing my time with. Everyone is different. We are not all here for the same reasons. Find a provider who does not compromise your time. Be aware not all providers are professional & vice versa.

Where I’m from and the states that I frequent(all of the states in New England and sometimes NY) the only state that I’ve seen consistent convictions of well informed individuals is Connecticut. Connecticut doesn’t care if you’re in the right or in the wrong they follow the blindfolded lady to the fullest, if I cop has made an arrest they just go with it 9 out of 10 times unless it goes to trial or it is someone’s family member.  

In any legitimate court it isn’t about what you know it’s about what you can prove. Good prosecutors agree, judges and top attorneys all agree on this. If unfortunately you’re in a jurisdiction where this isn’t the standard I would leave immediately because a simple mongering charge is the least of your worries if you ever have to deal with court proceedings yourself. Always good to know before it’s too late, I hope this helps. And it should.  

Once again I will chime in on this topic. I verify who my clients are and I also run a background check on everyone before I book a date. And yes, I have had guys try to alter their DL. That gets you blacklisted very quick.  And no, for the millionth time we do not care if you are a cop. I have clients that are cops. And they submit their screening info just like every other gent that wants to see me.  As you can clearly see from all of the stings that are still going on all over the US the target continues to be clients, not providers. As to why gals care what your profession is? I don't know. I do not ask for it, and I do not care. If I do find your profession during your background search I might ask in general conversation, but if you are a blue, white, or no collar guy makes no difference to me.

I screen so if you hurt me I have recourse because if I get hurt I will press charges. Knowing I have some info for that reason makes me comfortable. So far it's never happened. I also want to know if you are a jerk but I know that's not set in stone. Différnt people have different experiences w a person but it's nice to know if you short on money or try to take the condom off or whatnot.

I have a college degree and I still screen. And tests are good from the date on them. So they don't really guarantee you are clean. And that's only necessary if you are wanting bare services. Another reason we like references. Why do so many guys want to go bare w a random person. That's really something you do in committed relationships. I wouldn't do it even if i wasn't in this line of work. Protect yourself until you are in a1/1 relationship. That's my 2 cents.

Most of my old clients were white collar but most of my recent clients are blue collar. Very nice gentlemen with great manners and straight-to-the-point attitude, which I LOVE.
