Hidden in the nature of being discreet we, as a community, employ a system of e-mail hosted by this fine site called PM or private message. Discussions and inquiries are taken off the main boards and held within these PM's, where the intention and purpose of the messages are principal for private response. In addition to these efforts, if conversation is not up to one's standards or is not desired by said receiving party, is it in the proper etiquette to neglect the message? Primarily inquiring as to the proper etiquette to manage the PM system, especially those resulting from a solicited inquiry. Let's discuss hobbyist and providers.

If I find someone annoying or over the line in their PM, I ignore them.  If they keep bugging me, I tell them to STFU...

Easy enough? :D

If we can not discuss it on the board why would you think a private message is going to be recieved better.  I have used it many times and found that it is a loosing proposition.  I have had people try  to "help me" because I do not see it their way.  Only personal messages or "quiet info" has been welcomed.  Most of the time if I get an offensive one I will fight back.  Just do not post a pm on the boards as that will get you moderated. Why I can not fathom, as if that is what they are saying then let the world know or STFU.
