.. do not apologize for other people's total failure in reading comprehension...
Saturnsky's post below exposes the fallacious thinking of feminazis/radical feminists who hate the sex industry, particularly the escort industry. It totally baffles me that the feminazi crowd says that providing is demeaning to women and allows men to take advantage of them. These women don't know what the hell they're talking about! As Saturnsky says, making men pay for sex insures that the woman won't be left high and dry. In a way, I think it's the opposite for women. I think the escort industry can actually empower women by making men pay for what they desire most. A well intentioned woman friend of mine once said that she doesn't like the idea of paying for sex, because the provider is using me and I'm using her. Well, duh! You could say the same thing about marriage. LOL! Or you could even say the same thing about any commercial transaction! To survive in this world, don't we all take advantage of each other to some extent?!?!?!?! We do this every day! I guess I take advantage of 7-11 every morning when I stop there to buy coffee.
Getting back to the feminazis/radical feminists, it's been my experience that they know NOTHING about this industry and how it works. I don't think I've ever met an attractive woman who is a feminazi/radical feminist. They've all been pretty butt-ugly. I suspect that deep down, they're jealous of hot babes who know they're beautiful and use their appeal to make money through providing. And of course, they hate men and probably can't stand the fact that through providers, sex is so easily available.
How I would love to have the legal right to approach my hot co-worker about entering into a P4P relationship with no strings attached. How would such a deal demean me or her? She would have the right to turn it down. And no, I'm not pursuing her romantically, and I won't dare approach her about a P4P relationship. My job is already on shaky ground. LOL!
Anyway, my main point is that the escort industry is the total opposite of what the dumbass rad fems say it is. Thank you, Saturnsky, for making this clear in a better way than I ever could.
But most of what SS preaches is common thinking amongst many hookers.
But too many of you guys don't want to know the real story...so just bash her for her opinions.
To take any of this so personally is idiotic. It's P4P...go fuck the gal...pay her...she'll tell you how great you are.
Repeat the process over...and stop reading posts from women who want to tell you that all of this is just an illusion.

Because if so, you misunderstood me. I'm supporting what Saturnsky said. I agree with her and I think she stated it well...much better than I ever could!
I guess I sure am confused, because your post came off as a total bash on her. Damn...ok, I get it now. You were saying she was exposing what OTHERS said about you guys taking advantage of us here, when in fact it allows us to have the power. Sorry dude...you know I have a quick trigger lol.

Not once did I call her a radical feminist. If I did, please show me where I did. I talked about rad fems in general and said that Saturnsky does a good job exposing their fallacious thinking. How people think I was calling Saturnsky a rad fem is beyond me, but I must have given that impression, so I apologize for that. Again, I agree with Saturnsky, and the intent of my original post was to support what she said.
Locally we call that crawfishing. When you were confronted, you back peddled.
You were in no way agreeing with SS, just own up to it and defend your position.
Edit--- Yea so the problem with long post and reading them from my smart phone, is that I skim through and don't always catch the entire jist of the story. My bad

Why do you think saturnsky is a radical feminist? Am I missing something here? And I didn't hear her say anything about prostitution being demeaning.
I disagree with much of what she said, but on the other hand I can understand some of her frustration. I certainly don't think the solution is to call her a feminazi.
The sad truth is that many people just find prostitution deeply offensive. Maybe they shouldn't, but never mind that. They do. So we should try to be sensitive to that, if we can.
Anyway, there are my 2c.
I wrote what I wrote in order to say that I agree with Saturnsky's assessment of the hobby. I believe she is the opposite of a rad fem, and that's a good thing, at least in my book. To quote The Animals, "Don't misunderstand me, baby!"

the ones i know are in favor of sex work because, as you say, it empowers the woman to use her body as she sees fit. the feminists i know are very much in favor of making sex work safe and legal.
human trafficking and marital cheating are entirely different issues that are often conflated with sex work. an independent sex worker is nothing more than a capitalist. imo, no different than a baby surrogate or someone who rents themselves out to clean up your house or cook your meals. people who charge for what traditionally has been the "woman's role" for the past few centuries, and why the hell shouldn't they?
i know of no true feminists who think that a woman shouldn't be able to do with her own body what she wants to do.
just my 2 cents...
First of all: dollars to donuts you have met an attractive feminist. You’re very naive if you don’t realize that many, many sex workers support feminist political views in the ‘real world’.
And what about men who oppose sex work? Plenty of them out there. Are they “feminazi’s” too?
The reality, contrary to your misguided assumption, is that not all women who identify as feminists---radical or otherwise (and good luck defining radical in this context), oppose sex work; far from the truth.
And not all women who oppose sex work are feminists---in fact, speaking generally, the majority of women who adamantly oppose the idea of sex work would never call themselves a feminist; and, in turn, would likely refer to any woman who does support sex work as a “feminazi”.
What world do you live in where alot of men "oppose sex work?"- Most men have no objection to fellow men indulging in our favorite hobby. Most men either support it. or don't care, but rarely "oppose it"--that's a woman thing.
Then how do we explain religious conservatives? Right wing republicans? The “family values” crowd? The radical pro-lifers? Are all of these people women? If they’re in support of sex work, they’re doing a damned good job of hiding it.
What about the Rush Limbaughs or the Elliot Spitzers? Or, any of the male political figures who stand-up and publicly beat their chests in opposition to prostitution? They’re hypocrites certainly. But, are they pro prostitution or opposed to it? I’m confused.
What about all of the men involved with organizations that promote an “anti-sex slavery” agenda? How are they any different than the “feminazis” the OP is ranting about? Surely you don’t believe that these organizations are composed of ONLY women.
What about the men who drafted this international "Men Just Say NO to prostitution" manifesto? http://www.zeromacho.eu/anglais.html
Or, what about MENOPAT [Men Against prostitution and Trafficking?]: http://menapat.wordpress.com/
I could go on….

"What about all the men involved in the anti-sex slavery agenda?" That's a whole other matter altogether. These men are different than the "feminazis" because these men oppose "sex slavery"--you can't compare sex slavery to two adults doing business which renders mutual gratification for both parties. These men oppose "sex slavery" because there's abuse involved, and like most human beings, they have a conscience.
The OP said that ALL feminist oppose prostitution. Basically "feminazis" are the problem. You've gone even a step farther and said that ONLY WOMEN oppose prostitution. That: "men are not in opposition to prostitution whatsoever"
Neither of these statements is true.
Some "people" oppose prostitution; (regardless of whether they make any distinction between consensual and non-consensual sex work---or lump all sex work into the 'prostitution is sex trafficking/slavery category). Some of those people are women and some of those people are men.
You can try to conveniently ignore the fact that there ARE MEN who oppose prostitution if you like. It still does not make it true. And, if the position is that the women who oppose prostitution are "feminazis", what makes those men any different?
As far anyone who publicly denounces prostitution, while secretly partaking in it: These people do not "support" prostitution. This is like saying that the asshats who publicly denounces homosexuality, while secretly getting their dicks sucked in public bathrooms SUPPORT LGBT rights.
That is not SUPPORT. Nor is it shutting the fuck-up and being neutral so, at least, they do less harm. Not only is this kind of position cowardly and hypocritical, in practice, in the real world where it matters, where it actually impacts real people this equates to public, vocal OPPOSITION.

If men like Elliot Spitzer secretly partake in prostitution, he does not have to "say" he supports it--the fact that he was a "REGULAR CUSTOMER" for that kind of service should be self-explanatory. Even if we say he doesn't "support it", he doesn't "oppose it" neither, based on his actions---that's the whole point: men don't have the same views about this as women do, men will either support it, or don't care..altogether, but never "oppose it"--only women /feminazis "oppose it", because it takes away their pussy power--that men don't have to court, or kiss ass anymore to get laid, where providers are conveniently available.
You really should not talk out of your ass, because you don't know 95 percent of the men on TER much less in the world. You speak for yourself and no one else. Many men oppose prostitution, just not those on a hooker board. Freaking duh. If you are going to argue a point, post the stats that back it up. Hotplants is not speaking in absolutes, but you are. She is saying that not ALL men think the hobby is cool, and trust me...I know many men who would never touch a hooker regardless of the price tag she has on her ass that suggests she 'might be selective.'
Once again, supporting prostitution is not dogging it out and then partaking in it, as hotplants pointed out. That is a hypocrite who secretly despises us, but still wants to get his rocks off. He would never marry or date a hooker, nor would he want his own daughter to be one I bet. I have no problems with opinions that differ from the majority, but when you pull bs numbers out of your ass with no facts, that is where I take issue.
Your 95 percent is not only inaccurate, but all out comical. I know hobbyists right here who still don't 'support' prostitution. They are actually pissed they have to be here and pay for ass. Just because you engage in something does not mean you support every aspect of it.

With regards to "supporting" prostitution- i understand hobbyists don't "support" it, genius- they don't support it per se, but they don't exactly want it gone either do they?? I didn't think so.-- the point is that they, along with the non-hobbyists don't "oppose" it whatsoever- that's what i disputed, the comment that men "oppose it"--we don't.
And, now you're pulling completely arbitrary statistics of your ass.
You, are either genuinely unable to distinguish the difference between facts and sweeping generalizations. Or you’re a guy with an ax to grind because you feel women hold some kind of magical ‘pussy power’ over you. I’ll go with the latter.
I am quite in touch with reality. I’m also a feminist who supports sex work.
Now, I think I’ll hand you over to LR…lol....
We are the pathetic ones plunking down hundreds of dollars for s girl to smooch our peepee. A sad lot are we.

I agree 100%. Sex is the only power women have over men. When we're able to get it anytime we want via providers, it takes away that power from the rest of the female gentry, hence the disdain of the "feminazis"
For exposing how people read what they want to read...hear what they want to hear. lol
Even I have to admit, I had to read you post twice. I half expected to go off on you ass until I found all the little words I skipped the first time through.
However...Google searches for hot feminists turned up some great photos....
just sayin ;-P
