I've been with my present SO for 10+ years. Before that, a SO for 12 years. Both have the same behavior pattern: BJ's and golf outings during courtship and early partnership, quickly dropping off on both fronts after 2-3 years.
The decrease in BJ's is a well reported phenomenon. Is the lack of golf course companionship par for the course as well based on group experience?
I play golf a few times a week and always see many couples, of all ages, out on the course. About half of my parents friends are golf-playing couples in their 60's or 70's.
Next time I'm out, I'll ask a few of the couples if the BJ's are also still going strong.
I would not more take my SO to a golf course, than to see my ATV porvider. Golf is for me! If that sound selfish, then so be it. Golf is my little escape. Although, my SO, and my ATV,,,,HMMMMMMMMMMMMMM........nope won't happen.
