I mean most hobbiest would want to meet a girl that is doing this becasue it is her choice. They probally hope that no one (AKA pimp) is being an ahole and making the girl do anything she does not want to do. If Pimps are gone due to prostitution being legalized. Then providers and clients will be happier and safer.
If the governemt is worried about trafficing - it is about slavery and girls/guys forced to do things against their will. To fix this problem LE focus on the evil pimps not the Providers or Hobbysts. The pimps are the ones who make things bad for everyone. Pimps rob girls and clients. They are bullies and just not good to anyone. I have heard stories about what pimps do to the girls that work for them, and what they do when they rob or kill clients.
Do you agree that pimps are bad, or do you think they are a good thing?
If you're at all referring to CA's Prop 13 that was against Human Trafficking. The actual bill was aimed at going after men not traffickers, it would also catch male pimps and panderers at the expense of privacy and the fifth amendment. It's presently on hold waiting a ruling from the Federal Court of Appeals.
no - in IL they are going after clients and providers, and not going after the pimps.
you said it does after men not traffickers, but the pimps are traffickers. If as you said it does not catch traffickers how will it catch pimps?
many issues would vanish.
So what should someone like you do when confronted with these issues that apparently keep your walnut of a brain busy? Follow the money. Municipalities make money off of Johns, bail, fines, lawyer fees and really have no expense. They typically need to get back to work so pay whatever they are required to and get loose. Hookers are in the same boat. Their "managers" or they themselves pay all the same fines, costs....and get loose so thay can get back to work.
Arresting pimps takes work and investigation and task forces on the part of the cops, none of which are in the budget or particularly high priorities. When they are busted many opt for the time because as you so eloquently point out, they are typically not of the highest social or moral strata. If they do post it is just one person. So do you want to catch 20 people, 10 with dicks in mouths being paid and 10 that have dicks in need of sucking simply by watching the Ho Stroll in any city and following them for 3 minutes until they park? or work your ass off, get warrants, beg DAs for the green light and don't fuck up evidence to arrest one guy?
Do the math.

anyone on TER to say pimps are a good thing?
Never thought I would say this but I agree with acey. Dumb question.
You are preaching to the choir here anyway. Everyone on TER knows that LE focusing on consenting adults is not the way to stop traffickers.
So why doen't LE go after the real bad guys? The pimps who force people into things, and rob clients and providers.
and it's hard out here for them too.
Using your argument, you should forgive everyone who uses drugs, because it's not really the crux of the problem, right? Using your argument, we just need to go after the guys that produce and supply the drugs. That's one way of doing it, but you are giving a total pass to the people who use the drugs illegally, and you are invaliding the idea that you should attack the demand side of the problem.
Of course pimps are bad. That is one of the most obvious statements in the world. But saying that we should forget about the johns and the hookers in the trafficking issue is idiotic.
And, just so we are clear, I am talking about trafficking, not two WILLING participants coming to an agreement about sex for money. Because that happens all the time. Sometimes it's called marriage.
CLients are not always aware if the girl is being forced into a situation by a POS pimp. Clients would probally tend to steer away from traffickers/pimps, and meet up with girls that are doing this willingly. If you remove the pimps there will be no more girls forced into it against their will.
Also pimps tend to abuse the girls, and they beat and rob clients. In the case of drugs you need to work on it from both sides, but in this case you need to remove the problem. No pimps means little to no trafficking.

Which is, at best, a half-ass solution.
How many guys on a TER board are seeing girls that are likely to have pimps? You're talking about girls working the street corners, which is not what most of these girls are.
Like I said, you are only attacking one side of the problem. And in this case, it's a part of the industry that TER members are not likely to be involved in.
Except for maybe Udo.
Personally I would think the internet would have made pimps extinct. Basically they are over paid administrative assistants who provide abuse as a rule of thumb for a girl who perhaps needs to be more organized and disciplined.
The way though to remove a pimp isn't through LE unless we are talking about the girls on corners, but there a ton of girls on every site that have a pimp in the background who is smart enough not to rob clients or leave his girls black and blue. Hobbist would never know unless the girl tells in which case she fears her life and receives mental abuse eveyday from the pimp telling her that she is nothing without him. This story has been told for how many hundreds of years?
I've heard of pimps recruiting girls by putting ads up for agencies and having other girls recruit. It can then be tough for a girl to get out of the situation as a pimp automatically dominates a girl mentally and physically as well. Then stuck, a girl doesn't know how to remove herself from the situaiton.
If girls had more resources on how they could be successful in this business and perhaps knew what was needed verses a pimp like a booker perhaps, then pimps maybe would be extinct. LE should focus on pimps but reality is it's easier to go after provider and hobbists. Hopefully the girls out there with pimps will learn they truly can fire the administrative assistant with a bad attitude and learn how to put up their own ads or ask someone for help. We may not all be friends but I don't think I know a single girl on this board who wouldn't give a new girl advice. So enough said, my perspective and yes pimps are bad! We all hate them, question is how do we get rid of them entirely?
Pimps exist because women are in a desperate situation and let the pimps exist and use them because they don't feel they have a way out. So one way is better education, I suppose.
But I think they will always exist because there will always be desperation, and pimps do offer some kind of "value" to some girls.
Of course pimps are bad...
to LE, who are acting always in their own interests. Everyone acts in their own interests, but the ones who do the most good are the far-seeing ones. They act in enlightened self-interest.
The real pains are the ones who want to change the world by compelling people to do or to do not. Nanny-state people. The LE officer who turns up and gives you grief is acting out of self-interest, but is going to give you some other honorable reason for what he's doing. When their chiefs lobby for new laws, they say the laws will make them more effective at solving crimes, but really they are looking for new ways to bring in money. Look how out-of-control asset forfeiture has gotten, for instance. That LEO's satisfaction is not really that he got an evil hobbyist off the street by taking his car, but that he's won his department some respectable bucks by snapping up a car.
A whisper is often heard over a yell: for any kind of new legislation, look for the real reason, not the stated one.
And if you're doing something absolutely underground like the Hobby, Don't Draw Attention!
That's how it works. Cops bust providers hoping they will lead them to a pimp...same with the guys. If they knew for sure, when, where, and how to get right to the head honcho they already would have them....they can only get to the top by starting at the bottom, so that is why it 'seems' like things are being focused on us. Also, it takes less time and money to simply bust a BP provider than to go to the ends of the earth to catch the dangerous criminals who are pimping underage children. These people are not hood rats, but business men and they know what they're doing. It is a Billion dollar a year industry. No wanna be pimp can put such an operation together without being caught the first week.
Ms. Rayne, I hear that your nectar is as sweet as Tupelo honey...
But them beyotches loves dey pimps, know what I'm sayin', yo?
