That is a good question. I normally start a conversation about general info and let them talk about themselves and open up, while I do a body rubdown. From there by the conversation they have felt me out and then they usually are relaxed by then.

I like to start with a big hug and some light chit chat.. if that doesnt seem to work then Ill suggest a bubble bath or a body rub.

I have one client who I have seen every other week for over two years now. He is beyond timid. YES even after two years. I almost told him I couldn't see him anymore because it began to make me feel very uncomfortable. I would get so nervous that I would laugh outloud...not on purpose and nothing was even remotely funny...but his nerves hindered his performance to say the very least..I tried candles, soft soothing music, massage and even feeding him a cpouple of alcoholic bevvies...nothing worked...now I just do all of the above minus the booze and hope for the best

I like to start with a nice warm shower. It is hard to be nervous in a shower together. First we get all soapy and full of lather. Then you wash my back, I will wash your front, then you wash my front... you get the idea...
