Interesting string. My random thoughts related to ratings and various comments:
1) You have to see at least 10 ladies before you can establish a baseline.
2) Unfortunately, you cannot change ratings once they are posted. I sent a message and tried to change 2 of mine. In one instance, I was going to upgrade and the other downgrade --- to ensure consistency. See #1 above.
3) Ladies hide stuff in photos. I've seen ladies who looked great in photos, but so/so up close and personal. Videos are much, much better.
4) I find myself subconsciously downgrading appearance when the lady either doesn't look like her photos and/or there are inconsistencies with her online image and what she is like in person. Maybe her online profile screams MILF or athletic body or something else, but in real life that isn't the case. Or maybe her tattoos don't reinforce her image (note: I do not dislike tattoos by any means). See #8 below.
5) I think that the argument that she has to be at least an x in looks to score y in performance makes sense. I struggle with that rationale, however, given the TER rating guidelines and how ladies score extra points.
6) Ratings are somewhat inflated. See #1 above. In hindsight, if I were completely objective, then most of my ratings would all decrease by about 1 point. Also, if I didn't find a lady attractive, but she was a nice person, then I may have scored her higher on performance because I didn't want to feel as though I was screwing her over.
7) 10's in appearance are very subjective. On TER, for instance, I see quite a few ladies that received 10 ratings --- not because they are especially beautiful (subjective), but rather because they have DDD's. I rated one girl a 10 because I felt that she was naturally beautiful, but I suspect that will be one of the few 10's that she will receive.
8) I don't have a strong preference for a "type" of lady. Rather, I value consistency. If she projects the "bad girl" image, for example, then tattoos that reinforce that image, voice tone, and other mannerisms and/or "looks," should be consistent with that image. A homely type appearance can also be attractive, so long as everything is consistent. See #4 above.
9) If a lady has around 20+ ratings, then an inconsistency worth noting might be +/- 2 points. So an 8/8 would have to be out of the 6/6 to 10/10 range for there to be a large inconsistency.
10) Ratings are all relative. I would think that most people look at the rater's history. Is his average a 9/9 or is it a 5/7? What does that mean? He does a poor job selecting ladies? His 9/9's are equal to most 7/7's? He screens and only sees 8/8's or above? Something else (see above)?
11) Objectivity is difficult and given the nature of the ratings inherently subjective. That is why #10 matters.
12) I have actually had a few ladies PM me about their rating. After I responded, they agreed that it was objective.
13) Appearance could influence performance rating just as performance could influence appearance rating.
14) Ratings often times trend up as guys get better at selecting ladies.
15) Moving forward, I most likely won't review a lady less than 7/7 unless a compelling reason exists. No reason to penalize. Focus on the positive. Just don't write a review.
