Penile Implant

Visited a provider today who's friend is having problems with his penile implant.  Was virtually in shock!  Do people actually do that?  Of course I immediately went to google and learned there actually is a business, for even this.  Seems they run around $20 grand.  Ouch.

So much to be thankful for.  Not judging, but I can't imagine what life will be like during much later years and some of us won't be able to get it up.

It cums up by activating a small pump then sends air into the body of the penile insert giving a good erection.

I had an implant installed a year ago. The pills stopped working, as did the injections. Doctors said it was probably from decades of heavy drinking.

The downside to having one is having to explain to a woman that you have one. When you explain the upside, though, the woman is usually happy. That's because the upside is that your erection lasts as long as you want. You can have the same rock-hard erection 24 hours a day for ten years if you want. It will never go down until you want it to.

There's no difference in feeling, and no difference in function. You come the same, feel the same. The penis feels the same to the woman. She may feel a couple of small bumps where there's some tiny tubing, but that's it.

Honestly, if I'd known what this was all about, I would have had it done twenty or thirty years ago. My ex would have loved for me to be able to go for hours without losing my hard-on after I came.

Haha. After I posted I saw that pun myself. I figured Fishbro would be the first one on it. LoL

Look at some of the guys here full of hot air!  Now we know how they got that way:  penile implant leaking.

I've had one for about 5 years.  I love it.  I agree with everything donbecker says, except you don't necessarily have to tell anyone. I had a civvie girlfriend for about 7 months and never told her and she never noticed. Admittedly, she was a little naive in not questioning why a 65 yo guy never had a problem getting it up or keeping it up. She wanted sex twice a night and i gave it to her.  I've also not always told providers.

If the surgery is well done its great, looks natural, feels natural.  I would disagree with donbaker also that no one, not even I, can feel the tubing.  When the surgery is well done the tubing is so far buried in the body you don't feel it.  Its possible to feel the "pump", but I've had several gals, provider and not, who once they knew what I had still didn't even feel the pump.

There is a great site, listed below.  Its true some guys have problem with implants.  As far as I can tell its always due either to crappy installation (bad surgeon) or poor training in how the thing works.

Not the penile implants. They have been around a long time. Many guys are really lucky and happy they are in existence. (Including don and bionic on this thread). There are tons of posts about this on the over 60 board, and lots of info in the Internet.

What I am judging (and was fearghas' point above), is Why the fuck is a provider telling you about her other client's problems? Is this what you pay her for?

I think conversations tend to be free-association.  I've never thought to go back and critique the content of our conversations.  Like Seinfeld they are usually about nothing.  Sometimes providers (who I never met before) tell me about their husbands, children or boyfriends -- or their plans for the future.  I don't ask personal questions, they just go there.  If I thought they were getting into boner killer territory I'd change the subject, but so far that hasn't been an issue.

He told me how it worked and everything. He had his prostate taken out. He said he is happy again that he can have sex. I was happy for him and curious at the same time lol. We don't have that kind of friendship. Strange I know since he told me about it but I have curious friendship with guys that I don't sleep it! I had one tell me about his foreskin not retracting lol! I guess I have an honest face and I never judge so they tell me these things. The first guy I honestly wanted to know what it felt like. I should have just put it out there. The suggestion that we sleep together, not my vagina although it would have been put out there. I like to put out. :)

Many times after an O the head of my dick it super-sensitive, to the point I don't want anything to touch it for a few minutes.  If you stay hard after you cum, is it ever uncomfortable to keep going until the lady is finished, too?

It is always fun to see a provider you have not seen in a while. Many times they will say everything you told your buddy. I see you have been working out like so and so said.

In reality they should not be saying anything about other customers.

For me, this is not an issue.  I'm very comfortable continuing on after, even well after orgasm.  Unfortunately, I'm not really multi-orgasmic.  Maybe after an hour or two I can cum again.

Before having surgery I read more than 100 reports from men who had this surgery.  And after I probably read well over 100 additional reports (see the link I gave in my response below... there are lots of personal reports over the years).  More generally, you can't really generalize about individual responses to the kind of things you ask about.  Having the surgery shouldn't (ideally) really affect how your particular body responds to sex, stimulation, orgasm, etc.  What you had before is what you get after, with the very big exception that after you can have an erection whereas before you couldn't. (BTW you'd be crazy to do this surgery if you can get an erection any other way).  Botched surgery can affect this though.  Some men are in fact multi orgasmic, but I think its rare.  Some are, I think, like you, and are super sensitive after orgasm.  But that's an individual response, not one primarily affect by the implant.

I don't have sex enough, and so I get sore. This last session was four hours, and somewhere in the third hour I was too sore to do anything. Actually I was sore after the two-girl BJ in the first hour, but kept going.

I should add that I use creams and such to try to keep the skin on my penis soft, as I've lost a lot of sensation over the years (don't worry, you will, too). That also makes it more likely to get sore, at least for me.

Your buddy shouldn't be talking about you to providers.

A very large part of what I am paying for is discretion. I have issues I don't want spread. I feel for the guy. Having a implant down there would be bad enough but having someone announcing it to the world would make it worse. That hooker is being an epic douche rocket.

And that is fine. This is a case of a hooker lacking discretion and blabbing extremely personal information that can be embarrassing to him to say the least. That is not fine. It is extremely deplorable behavior to say the least.

Are they really his buddies? Sorry I don't think so. I see your point but he isn't describing a buddy but someone hang with him to get comic material to share. The very opposite of a buddy. I personally thonk he could mistake one of those kind of people as a buddy given the lack of options he likely has. That does not make them his buddy.

Just getting back to this topic. The tubing shouldn't be able to be felt. After my surgery, it was at the rear of the scrotum. However, the tubing can migrate until scar tissue forms to hold it in place, which takes about two weeks.

A week after my surgery, I noticed that the tubing had moved. At that time I didn't know what to do. I tried calling the surgeon, but his nurse is a "gatekeeper" who keeps patients from bothering the surgeon. I called three days in a row, and she kept me from talking to him. I finally called another surgeon to get an answer, but by then it was too late.

That's not the worst of it, though. I lost two full inches of length. I shouldn't have lost any. The surgeon had been recommended on the forum you mentioned, and it was only after this that I heard from unhappy patients of his.

Still, I have erections that last as long as I want, without the side effects of the pills or shots.

Sorry to hear about your less than optimal outcome.  I didn't lose any length at all.  I think I got about as good a result as was possible, in terms of length preservation, how well it looks and operates, how discreet it is, and how easy my recovery was.  I attribute that in part to a great surgeon, and in part to just plain good luck.  In reading outcomes on that site even the best surgeons do not always get ideal results, but it seems like the do far more often than others.

Having a functional dick, even if its not optimal, sure beats one that doesn't work.

I was going to go to Dr. Eid in New York or Kramer in Baltimore. But some said that a surgeon in Nashville was very good, and he's just an hour away. So I made the mistake of choosing him.

Dr. Eid said he might be able to restore some length, but I'll have to go see him in order for him to get an idea of whether he can and how much.

I'm more concerned about it than the providers are, although sometimes it's difficult to stay inside them when moving around. I miss those two inches.

There's a doc in Beverly Hills who has the only FDA approved method of actually increasing penis length. I've read enough horror stories about him that I won't consider it, although every so often the idea of a 7" length makes me wonder if the risk might be worth it.
