I have only cancelled an appt twice... (well for 2 reasons)  
   
 Once was because I got stuck in traffic when a semi dumped over and spilled gas. Got stuck there for 4 hours (unable to have a cigarette lol) It was on the news so he couldn't be mad at me. Meet with him the next day.  
   
 Then a few months ago I had to cancel 2 days worth of appts because of the birth of my niece and I had to get my butt down there right then and there. Sorry that sort of stuff is extremely important to me. That was the most stressful 7 hours of driving I ever did, but I got there as she was popping out. I did make sure prior to booking that these guys knew I may have to leave state at a moments notice. I felt bad but not much I could do about the situation.  
   
 I am typically a trouper... I do not like cancelling on anyone. My back and I have been not agreeing with each other lately, but I can deal with it.

Someone mentioned Mdkiller... So I wanted a good laugh and was going through some of his prior posts... Then I thought I should check some of my old posts and see if perhaps I wrote something retarded, so I could link it to my prior thread to this one (concerning idiots posts, figured I'd throw myself under the bus too and make fun of myself lol)... Well anyways, I found a post of mine that was on the thread saying that I think it would be one hell of an excuse if a provider cancelled because she was in labor. I still want to know who the provider was that gave that excuse lmao.

 Your post begs to ask the question..What in the world made you search it...

One gal got in a car accident on her way to see me.  We met a few weeks later and her leg was all black and blue.  She couldn't even call me as her cell phone went flying and got smashed up.  We are still very close and see each other often

Another gal entered a psych hospital just before we were to meet.  (No wise cracks you guys!)   She has issues but we still meet regularly.  She's been on better meds for the last few years.

Those were the good excuses.

Now for the not so much:

One gal said her plane was late, and then her cell phone battery went dead.  (Apparently there are no  pay phones at the airport.)  This date was to make up for the previous week when she cancelled on account of her period.  I never heard from her again.

The other said her cell phone's ringer was shut off and didn't know I was calling.  She did call hours later to apologize, then suddenly hung up on me for no reason and never contacted me again.  Just as well.

The cell phone is this generation's version of my dog ate my homework.

I can recall only cancelling once.  I was on my way when I got an urgent message from work to go elsewhere.  I did call and cancel, however.

I even went to a session with my arm in a cast just a couple of weeks after a car accident.

you will have to search for it on DC board, and I don't see any post from your handle on that board..

1. If my car broke down on the way to the appointment.
2. Medical; if I came down with a "cold/flu" or food poisoning, etc.
3. Family emergency

How many of those girls that cancelled on you, you told them to "Go Fuck Themselves !!!"

most of the time it will be work or health so usually i'll give enough time to cancel 24 to 48 hours before. But the worst cancellation i received, well lets start at the beginning. The day of the appointment i email to confirm our date for later that day. Did not here from her, so i texted her a couple times to confirm, nothing. Well i decided to get ready for the date, you know the 3S's, as normal thinking it may still happen. Just getting ready to leave 10 minutes before our date, she calls to cancel our date, and the reason she gave was " i couldn't confirm our date for today, so i have to cancel."

If your post is in regards to real excuses then I don't really have one I'd call outrageous but if the term "not believable" counts......  I once had a lady cancel telling me, while stammering, that her mother showed at the airport from out of town and needed a ride.    

Was just leaving home for my appointment and the wife pulls into the driveway at the same time.  She stops her car next to mine and rolls down the window.  "Where are YOU going?" she asks (and she knows).  "Just going to get some groceries" I reply.  5 min later I was on the phone canceling, and on my way to pick up some groceries we did not really need.

and when you search under my name (on GD board).... it does pop up (see post titled "Could this top it" on enclosed link).

Nevermind I am stuck on stupid today. lol. I had gone to my post (after searching my name) and then clicked the OP's link to the post referencing the end of the world.

His original handle was MDStuds, I think they go back a decade or so. He was wierd then, but he got even wierder once he changed his handle. I am still not sure if his handle was wishful thinking, or if he had actually earned it. I am hoping it was the former, but the latter would not surprise me.

I was on the way to an appointment 2 summers ago & stopped to get gas... left the truck running...came out & it was driving away, lol. I was able to call 911 immediately, & they actually caught the guy 3 blocks away(where he lived...was too lazy to walk the 3 blocks home, so decided to steal my car). I called my appointment, explained what had happened, & we rescheduled for the next afternoon. When the guy was trying to outrun the police, he ended up jumping a curb & blew out my power steering...so it was not drivable. BUT, I still made it to my appt the new day...just had to take a cab.  

I had been injured by a toothy provider and stopped hobbying for about three weeks.  The scars had turned to scabs and were almost gone.  I then booked a week ahead with a touring provider, assuming I would be fully healed in time.  Each day I checked and things did not heal so quickly.  24 hours before the appt, I called the girl to cancel and told her the truth.  Not sure if she believed me, but a few months later she returned to Boston and accepted an appointment with me.  After introducing ourselves I confessed I was the guy that had canceled due to the "toothy injuries".  She gave me a weird look, but the session continued with no problems.

I was just getting into this.. And taking shaving down there to a new level.
I always buzzed, but never really used a razor like I do now..
I know you think I cut myself.. Nope.
I was like a barber.. Used a hot towel and everything..
So I started practicing. Basically keeping myself super clean down there.
