I just glanced at the survery TER did and was surprised to find that over 70% of all gentlemen prefer Incall vs Outcall...

Can I get some feedback on this? I am doing my homework here and will soon be making an appointment. Are outcalls to risky/embarassing? Do you find the lady is more likely to feel comfortable and provide better service at her incall location? I personally have been leaning towards an outcall because I really feel like Ive got all the necessary tools for making the evening great at my place (wine, music, etc).

Until recently, I have done incall exclusively. One of the reasons is the high number of outcall ripoffs (including cash-and-dash, goons, and occasionally guns) here in LA. Another is the comfort of going somewhere that I will almost certainly be a stranger, and the ease involved. It has worked really well for me.

But recently I made an exception. I have someone I was seeing incall and I started to really like her. Don't worry, I have no delusions that anything more than business is going to happen between us. But I am especially comfortable with her. So I invited her to my house. It has been a real pleasure. I think she will be the only one (I am conscious of what the neighbors might think, or rather what I think they might think), but I am glad she hangs out at my house. And after she has been here, my bed is a better place the rest of the week.

I find that the ladies are much more comfortable on their home ground. With a first meeting, I am plenty nervous enough for any ten people and if the lady is more relaxed that is only for the better. Also, it seems that there are less no shows from the ladies when you go to their place as opposed to them coming to yours or meeting them somewhere.

so I don't have to worry about the no-show or spend any time or money on setting up a location. Now, 50% of TER members are married, which means that over 50% of TER gentlemen are married. This fact largly accounts for the 70% that prefer incall. It's just so much easier, and most providers have an incall location or several. It just means that they set up and pay for the hotel. Typically incall is the lowest rate, since the gal doesn't have travel time and expense.

If you have a nice place and are able to see a woman there, that's great. Make sure you invite only well reviewed providers with solid reputation and enjoy her company.

I can certainly understand why the married guys do incall...no explanation needed. And I'd would never consider paying for BOTH a hotel room AND a "session"...probably because here in NYC / Manhattan, you are pretty much talking about an additonal $150 minimum.

For myself, I have read so many bad reviews about the conditions for incall locations, I would be very hesitant. I just don't care for flith or disarry. Given that I'd already be a tad nervous, that would just be too much.

I also like a tad bit of "romance" or "sophistication" with my session. I have read reviews of guys going to incall agencys, walking past other guys, going into empty rooms with just an old mattress on the floor, weird smells, etc. Nope, not for me, no way. I'd NEVER do an incall agency, or even an incall independent if I had read in a review that she "shared the appartment with a couple other girls", or anything like that.

I knew from my very start in this hobby for pretty much the reasons you cite that outcall AT MY PLACE was the way to go. "My Place, MY Space", as I have stated in more than one reviews. Everyone who has ever come to my apartment, pro or civilian, has always been impressed (really, it isn't ALL THAT great a place...just nice, but in NYC, a decent apartment is a RARE thing...). I have a view, also REALLY rare in NYC (usually you just have a view of anotehr building...even my $5800/month furnished apartment that I was in for two months when a first arrived had a view of the building across the street...and nothing else). Like you mention, I can play the music of my choice, pour a little wine, make sure I have condoms and Astroglide handy, etc. Basically, I have ALOT more control over things in MY SPACE, and thus MY comfort level is much higher.

In regard to the safety concerns mentioned, I'd agree...you should proably not bring a "streetwalker" or anyone who gives that kinda vibe back to your place. I've only seen mid level independents who were well reviewed, and girls from well known agencies, also usually with at least one review. Even then, I always hide my wallet, and have the "fee" already prepared. I *DO* own expensive jewelery (a Swiss Watch collection), but that really isn't the sort of thing a girl would go looking for, and I keep it locked away as well.

I suppose a "cash and dash" is still a risk, but for me, I've only paid up front twice (in my experience the better independents just need to see the envelope in an obvious place...they know asking for money up front sends a bad vibe), so I don't worry much about that. Plus, she'd have to get past me (I'm a big guy), get to the elevator, wait on it, and then get past my doorman, who I would have called from my apartment before even running into the hall. My guess is that any girl who came in with "cash and dash" plans would probably be discouraged once they encountered these things on the way in (first the lobby, then the doorman, then the elevator, and then ME once I greeted them at my door).

Having said all that *I* would encourage you to go ahead with your outcall plans, since you feel comfortable about the girl and you are looking to enhance the experience...

I guess I should also admit that I DID do incall once...with a provider who ONLY did incall, and whose apartment was so luxurious that IT gets reviewed as well...LOL!!!! (really, check my review for "Crystal" in Dallas, then look at all the other reviews...EVERY GUY mentions her apartment). I pobably wouldn't have done it otherwise...

The additional cost of setting up a hotel in N.Y.C. is totally beyond reason.  If I am paying the extra bucks I want them to go to the pro.

Post 9/11, I find it very difficult to criticize Giuliani because of his astounding leadership.  However, for years prior to that, he made it MUCH more complicated to get laid.

for me it seems less risky to do incall because the provider has an interest in not creating a disturbance there, thus is less likely to try to rip you off.  i've done plenty of incalls and have never had a problem.

I prefer incall - find the women to be more comfortable in their own surroundings - just need to be aware of the neighborhood, etc. Only do outcall when I am staying overnight somewhere.

All the points above are good reason to do incall, but incall can be risky if LE is setting up a sting operation.  How do you check out the incall to reduce this risk?  In Salt Lake City, LE will use the home and phone number of a provider they have busted and run a sting to collar the clients.  Also LE will seize the home, if owned by the provider or if the owner “should have known” of the operation being conducted at their property. Has any provider had their home or rental taken by LE?

I'm sure the majority of responders to the survey you mentioned are either married or have an SO, which really leaves them with a somewhat restricted option as far as meeting location preference is concerned.  I wonder what a survey of those of us who don't have these "encumberances" would reveal as far as preference is conerned?  I'm speaking statistically only...naturally each would have, whatever his choice, his own reasons for it--to which he'd be perfectly entitled.

I think it's true that maybe more rip-offs take place on outcall, but perhaps also true (no, I don't have any stats to back up my impression) that more LE busts & stings take place on incall.  So pick your own poison.

Regardless of the meeting place...her home/appt/office, your home/apt/hotel of your choice---go with what makes YOU  feel the  most comfortable.  As long as you've selected the proper sort of lady, I really think there is little to worry about (unless you behave badly) with respect to her comfort level.  
Sshe is after all a professional, & as such both adaptable & concerned with repeat business.  If not, you've chosen badly.

Personally, I've done both (I'm one of the unemcumbered ones) & have found that without question I'm more comfortable with outcall--which I've done at both a hotel of my selection & at my home.  Several reasons for this, but I'll boil them down to just two---(1) the freaking SHEETS WILL BE CLEAN (2) I'll NOT bump into anyone else on their way in or out!

Just my own .02---I respect everyone else's choice & their reasons.

The providers are more comfortable at their incall and the hotel maids clean up the room (although not between clients, I guess). Someone other than me cleans up, I guess I should say.

Whereas if I did outcall at my home:
1. I'd have to clean up my room!
2. Some piece of her clothing/toy/etc would get lost and my wife would eventually find it (ever seen the 60's movie "How to cheat on your wife?"
3. The neighbor kids would all happen to be watching when she came and went (a la "Risky Business")

I would do outcall while travelling, but only with a provider I've seen before, as much for her comfort as anything else.

And even worse than my spelling is my typing & the results whenever I attempt to self-edit.  Damn...TER needs a spell-check feature for those similarly "challenged" in this way.  LOL

One way to take care of it is to compose your post (or review details) in a program like Word with a spell checker, and then copy-paste it into the TER Reply to Message window.
