What is your personal couple-friendly hobbyist origin story?

Sometimes I see hobbyists make references to their significant other getting them a birthday present, or I see providers say they are couple friendly.  So it does happen.  

However, the overwhelming majority of men can be pretty sure that if they ask their female partners (wife, gf, domestic partner, whatever) to hobby with them, in earnest, they would find themselves single extremely quickly.  

I think we're all curious, if you're lucky enough to be in a relationship where the lady is "cool with it" (or you are said lady), how did it come about?  Did you gently guide her towards it?  Did you make it a deal breaker early on?  Just lucky?  Or did you only go after ladies more likely to be already so inclined (has multiple tattoos, casual drug user, likes Metallica - not to profile or anything but hey you know there are studies about these sorts of correlations) ?

I'm pretty sure all of us would love a gf/wife that gives us a surprise threesome as a b-day present...

I'm just curious what people's real life stories are where couple-friendly hobbying is actually a thing, in real life.  (Maybe think of this like a Reddit AMA request)

so i will make it short.......i cheated, she found out, it went to hell in a handbasket, i fought like hell to fix things, she forgave me.......THEN she came to me and asked if we could do this together, shes always been bi-curious , i had NO part in convincing her to do it, i left everything up to her, who we saw, when, where, SHE was the boss, and what she says goes, we have now had 3 wonderful sessions with several wonderful providers.

We are coming up on our 24th anniversary and are making plans to see someone locally as a gift to ourselves , being together in this hobby had added another dimension to our relationship, we are stronger than we have ever been, and we have discovered great things about each other.     While i will say things like this do not always work out like we have, it CAN work if done for the right reasons, and the woman HAS to be the one in charge, if she ever says we are no longer going to play, then we wont, this is now HER hobby, i am just along for the ride!!!!!   and its been a wild one so far!!!  yes i AM a lucky guy.

and decided to try and play along by engaging in a few threesomes, but I don't think she ever really got into it.  She eventually decided to cash out her chips and we divorced.

I have the best wife there is.  Sexy, fit and she enjoys the touch of a female.  She always tells me that she has one swingin dick, she doesn't need another.  So when we try to meet other couples we make sure the female half is into girls, and we may soft play when the girls are finished.    We have had a  few experiences when in Vegas.  We met  some nice couples at Couples Oasis and did keep in contact for a while.  We also have had a few experiences with few "couple friendly" escorts in Vegas.  We will be back in Vegas for our 30th this November, we will see what happens!!   We certainly do not look for it in our home city.  When we go to Vegas, we get an itch, so we will try to play.  We have been married 30 years, both 53.  The older she gets the wilder she gets, love it.
