Two possibilities come to mind.
1. I know you're intelligent enough to tell whether the lingerie had been previously worn.  Apparel can be dry-cleaned and look brand new, but the shoes will generally have at least some signs of wear, especially on the sole, if not the back of the heel, buckles, whatever.
While it seems odd to ask you to wear these items for him if he did not intend them as a gift, I can't help but wonder if he purchased them for a wife who really was unresponsive to him and unwilling to wear attire that turned him on.  Kind of a slap in a husband's face, to my way of thinking.
Perhaps, having you, a lovely, desirable woman, happy to wear these things for his pleasure, gave him a bit of cathartic satisfaction.
Divorce, is so painful. I wouldn't be surprised if a man wanted to hold on to this wardrobe for a bit of reminiscing. I couldn't blame him a bit. You may have helped him to rebuild his confidence and get his MOJO back!

2. If he is still married, committed and deceiving you into wearing his wife's clothing, BLECH!!! Makes me nauseous just thinking about it.

I'm posting to gather opinions on an awkward moment/ buzz kill that happened a few days ago...

I have a client that I've seen regularly, whenever I tour his area. We've hooked up 3 times in 2 weeks.  It's fair to say that I've gotten to know a little bit about him, his marriage and his recent divorce through our time together.  He started out complaining about his "prude" wife, and got a little stress-relief from me through his divorce.  I just listened to whatever he wanted to say and gathered the impression that he was in a sex-less marriage.  Now that he is single, he invited me over to his place.  He set up his bedroom with candles and music, and as I undressed down to my lingerie, he smiled and said that he would love for me to change into something special he had waiting in the bathroom.  I went into his bathroom and there was a beautiful, black lace lingerie set and heels in my size.  I thought to myself, that I was lucky to be with such an amazing guy for the evening.  The lingerie looked sexy on me and I was impressed with his taste.  When I stepped back into the bedroom, he had me model it for him, before pulling me close and letting me know he was ready!

HERE IS WHERE IT GETS AWKWARD:
When it was time for me to leave, I kiss him on the cheek and thanked him for having me over and for the presents.  He sat straight up, in bed, and said, "No baby, you have to leave all of that here.  That lingerie belonged to my ex-wife.  She left it when she moved out."

I felt so weird!  I pretty much got dressed faster than I have ever done before, and said goodbye.  I stuffed my underwear and socks into my purse and threw the rest of my clothes on- that's how fast I wanted to get out of there.  Since we hooked up, he has texted me that he had an amazing time and can't get it off of his mind.  I'm still stuck on how weird it felt to mistake lingerie as a gift instead of a loner from the woman I've only heard to be a "total prude."

On an Awkward moment scale from 1-10, this is my 10!  Opinions anyone??

He paid you right?

Now make some choices. You have the power don't give it up.

By the way when you first started taking money for sex did you think it would be with well adjusted ,perfect gentlemen who never would do or say weird shit???? Really?

He really has no business asking you to wear anyone's used clothing or shoes.  If he had some kind of fantasy cooked up in his head he should have run it by you instead of deceiving you.  Weird? I'll say!

The question is are you going to see him again?  You pretty much know he's going to want a repeat performance...

I don't blame you for feeling awkward, I'da beat feet too.  And not sure I would go back either.

Swim

This is a strange story.  I think he is either missing some screws or just plain clueless.

some guys just cannot "let go"..he took it to the extreme..probably sniffs them late at night.." fetish" sounds right..

Can't believe he thought to do this and then to ask for the stuff back.  I mean really....is he going to ask every provider to wear it?  LOL.  Anything the ex left behind I would have donated to goodwill.  He is definitely classless and clueless.

Honey, write it down in detail and keep it for your book or at least a short story for Penthouse one day.

Very strange a a little rude on his part, but one day, you'll look back at this and laugh.

Kisses,
Vanica

I have brought new lingerie to most providers whom I have seen more than once, as I have a good idea what would look great on them (to me) aftter that first date.  I would never, EVER even think to take it with me to have another provider wear, that is disrespectful to both women and, well, gross.  I don't see where an ex's clothing is any different.

And the last Goddamn thing I want to see you wearing is my wife's fucking lingerie, next thing ya know YOU will be telling me "no" as much as she does....

:-)

Because you have to know that anyone that would stoop to that kind of thing isn't going to let it sit there.

This guy is in the Twilight Zone, and you best be over and done with him.

...to buy you new lingerie.  He may have asked for them back because he was afraid his wife might want them and he's too stupid to think of saying: "Fuck you, I burned them."

Lingerie isn't rented.  It is given as a present.

And don't get me started on your pussy touching the underwear of another woman.

A guy brought his wife's, not ex wife's used sex toy! Obviously, I wouldn't touch something that's not new in a package. It seriously offended him that I wouldn't use the toy. His excuse was she really didn't like it. I wondered what was going through his head, and yes anything that belonged to a wife is very creepy.

Ewww! Have that dipshit call me. I will shove that thing so far up his ass, he will never visit a sex shop again! What a douche! Y'all wonder WHY so many of us REFUSE to use a toy unless we bring the shit. Just dayum!

He let you keep it and didn't tell you it belonged to his ex? What if he gave you a diamond necklace and it was his ex's, would you keep it or be creeped out? Did you sleep in the same bed that she usually slept in - isn't that awkward?Wearing his ex's lingerie or his riding his (at the time) wife's husband's penis - is there a big difference? The money he always spent on you he could have  spent on weekends away with his wife to try and rekindle the fire, feel weird about that?

I won't be as crude to say well he paid you so tough it up and the way you describe is awkward as all hell. But it's a matter of perspective. Lots of women here say men are just clients, it's all business, no attachment... etc. So wearing an ex's lingerie shouldn't be a big deal. Maybe he wanted it back so that his other ATF could wear it as well. Is that weird, I don't think so. You don't have different outfits for every man you see.

Look at it this way, He may have paid good money for that lingerie and wanted to finally get some good use out of it because the prude never would consider it.

you did put it all in perspective with this post.... huh. Never thought of it like that, but still the OP is gross.

Interesting perspective....I guess it is in the eye of the beholder...definitely food for thought
