When the economy is roaring consumers tend to trade up, meaning that they purchase more premium brands at higher price points.  On the other hand, when the economy is not going well or there is uncertainty, they trade down.  Instead of spending more on premium brands they buy Private label or cheaper stuff.  I wonder if the same logic/theory will apply to escort world over the next several months.  Guys that were seeing high end ladies for $8+/hr trade down and will now see $5-6/hr ladies, guys that were seeing $5/hr ladies will see $3-3.5/hr ladies, and the guys that were seeing ladies that were $3/hr and below will be watching a lot more porn.  Bullshit or gonna happen?  Or will ladies just have to reduce their donations across the board to retain clients?

For the uninformed or the folks who don't think the virus will effect them.  You can see in the postings and the traffic going in and out of hotel/motel parking lots.  

bad enough for me to consider lowering my standards, whether is enjoyment of Premium brands, or hookers.  Trevor got it  right.  Even IF I should have to tighten my belt a little, it just means I choose quality over quantity.  If I have to cut back to two providers a week, I will do it without complaint, but so far, coronavirus has only affected my own business in positive ways, so its possible I will not be affected at all.

Most guys have probably seen ladies at a range of price points (maybe $3-8/hr over the past year for the hypothetically average guy).  That guy may usually see ladies at the $5/hr price point.  Whereas now that guy "trades down" and sees more ladies (many of which he has seen before) at the lower end of the range and/or his range tightens ($3-5/hr).  Maybe or maybe not?  Also, on a related note, how will all of this unemployment (over 3 million filed for benefits last week) impact supply, particularly the sugar bowls?  Will supply increase and demand plummet and rates decrease?  Will more guys migrate from higher priced escorts to lower priced sugar babies?

you used an analogy of going from "premium" brands to private label.  I would never do that.

My habits have not changed.  Still seeing same qty. (once or twice a week) staying within my price range. I consider I am in the middle range as to what I spend.   Staying Away from lower end websites and staying with my regulars.  I am witnessing some new UTR Ladies, mostly laid off younger waitresses. Their rates are more favorable now but may change later.  I think in the short run rates will trend south, but will reverse once the economy starts to regenerate.

I don't see many Johnny Walker reds going to Pappy 25. Similarly, those that can afford the really higher brands don't go down to drinking crap, unless they're alcoholics and will drink anything and lost everything in the markets.
