Was on vacation in San Diego and had room with balcony that overlooked the pool area and rooms on the other side of the hotel. I had a wonderful awesome woman come and visit for a few hours. When she arrived I had the lights on and the balcony door open(fresh air). She admired the room and view from the balcony. We proceeded with our time together with lights on and balcony door open(she did not close the door or turn off the lights), the bed was visible from the balcony door. I really enjoyed the time and possibility of someone watching us. Usually woman like to keep the windows closed and lights low.
Does this happen often?
that keep the lights dimmed and windows and doors closed, are super concerned about how their appearance is perceived, so they don't want you to get a complete look at themselves. Maybe they have a little belly going on, or have a scar or two from having kids.
Unless the building is in a super congested area, there is not much real threat of a peeping Tom. I am a big fan of fresh light and fresh air, so if I stumble across a woman who wants to incubate herself and me, because she thinks she is not hot anymore, I am definitely not coming back.
In all fairness, there could be super hot women who would be doing the light dimming and all as a part of their selling the GFE package. In life there are always exceptions. But these will typically not resist the request to turn up the lights.

I don't mind the lights on... not the supermarket lights though, but no way in hell I would fk a married man where anyone could be watching/taping it. Even if not for his own privacy, but for mine. I really don't need to be on youporn. If you knew how many Spring Break sex tapes were released every year in Fla. you might think again. That's how politicians get caught.
All of the incalls I used to use, had either lake, city, or gulf views so leaving the balcony door open was common. We would put the light on out there, but it was dark in the bedroom only lit with candles, so the light from the balcony actually had the same effect as that bright line that shines on suspects during a line up lol. And yes Curly, even the most flawless body will look hideous in certain light. If we are not making porn, no need for porn lighting. Back to the topic, it was a spontaneous mood that often happens. Knowing those San Diego hotels, I wouldn't worry about peeping. Other people are fukkin with doors open and there are not that many high rises close together. It's a different story in nyc where I got a suite once, which billed a high power telescope precisely for peeping. A little perverted, yes.

I've made love in places visible to the public (not P4P).
I do prefer soft lighting. Actually, I see very well in dim light, once my eyes adjust. And even a single candle on the dresser can silhouette a woman's curves spectacularly. A full moon is great too!
I have no issue with the door open. One probably can not see the bed unless it's directly inside the door & even then lighting would be problematic...
You can do what you want, obviously... I prefer softer lighting.
Fresh air and natural light, no inhibiting self-consciousness.
So many gals seem to be so self-critical... I get that competitiveness with other women, but it really isn't necessary with men - at least not with me. If I chose her, I did so for a reason and want to see her, all of her. Flaws and all. Caveat: Old/fake/overshopped pics... no es bueno.
When traveling to a major city like NY I usually try to book a room with a great view. My outcall encounters are always scheduled in the evenings.
When the lady enters my room I'll have the curtains open for a panoramic view. As the evening progresses I ask her if she prefers the curtains closed. Almost always the answer is no.
I've done it on window stills in Chicago and on my balcony overlooking Sunset Blvd in Hollywood.
I've come to the conclusion that exhibitionlism kinda excites a lot of the ladies in the biz.

There is a hotel in Newton (was a Marriott for many years but is something else now). The Mass Turnpike goes right underneath. I was watching the cars while doing this girl, and maybe some of the car occupants were watching us.
I requested the provider do this. Ask, and you shall receive.
I know right where that is..(exit 17) and the next time I will look up as I pass underneath and hope no one puts on their brakes !
I get this freebird mentality. I never use shade or curtaun. I get woken by the sun sleeping in a five foot by five foot window facing beach and the horizon. I have to draw shade for sex. Though. Neighbors with possibly children can see in. But yes fresh air and view of outdoors , for me its not an option I have that as my top priority. I wouldnt sacrifice it for more money. If I got an apt close to a third of my current rent. Yes I d have a nicer furniture clothes ect.
But gettin up in pjs and flip flop at five am in summer. And crossing the street with my fresh cup of coffee. To be on the actual beach. Hell I d choose this life I live , over the way on the latter, you can have an apt thats cheap. With nice car clothes furniture. I d stikl choose to spend my earnings in the nicer views and closer to nature. Granted I have milk crates with table cloth over as my end tables in living room still!
But I d prefer to have the off the chain view and location over material possesions. You cant take any a it wit ya when ya go so. , !
That be funny a uhaul at a funeral with some ones car and designer shoes . And crap. Cuz it is all crap to me Give me my new nike rick stars. And a base ball cap baby. And the sun n sand. Thats substance baby.
The Hyatt in the airport has some rooms with balconies that face the taxi ways. The balconies have wall partitions from one another (the designer had a vision!), so it is extremely easy & safe to engage in activities on the balcony and wave at airplanes 
Depending on how daring you are (and how quiet it is in nearby rooms) you may or may not use the railing 
Only minor drawback is that elevator access is by room key, so you have to be a gentleman and meet her below, in the general airport area.
'it' has to be there....awesome window or balcony or both, a view, and most importantly the climate. But that can be anything for me, I have my doors open come sun, rain or snow all year....and my fav is the rain of course, especially during certain aspects of certain things lol
