I have been a TER member for many years and post occasionally.  My observation is that there is a consensus on certain topics that we all avoid by mutual consent.

1. BBFS, while common, is universally condemned, risks and CDC statistics not withstanding.

2. AIDS and other new virulent STD's, their origins, particularly populations and locations where they are epidemic.

So my questions are: are my observation accurate, and is this political correctness even on a board as intimate as this?  Are these topics and the activities unpleasant?  Providers surely are aware, and clients should know.

Well, I wouldn't characterize BBFS as 'common'. Everyone knows it happens, but I don't think it is a particularly common ocurrence. As to avoidance on this board, lol this topic comes up at least once or twice a month.

Someone admitting to providing or recieving BBFS - now that is taboo. The few poor souls who fessed up to recieving BBFS from a provider usually get jumped on by the half the members of the board, and I can't recall a single time when a provider ever admitted on the discussion board that she had allowed BBFS before. Now watch, someone is going to find a thread from 3 years ago in which a provider did fess up to it

Both topics have surfaced at several times.

Regarding BBFS, I know of two guys that have had it with different ladies.  It certainly is not common knowledge nor would I ever disclose who the ladies or guys are.  I was asked to keep it confidential and I always keep my word.

violence, rape, underage providers, extortion with screening information, etc.  Those lines are almost as obvious as things being cold in a refrigerator, freezer, or ice maker, yet nobody should feel the need to state that they are bad things on this forum because, and I'm sure you would agree, anyone able to participate in the forum should be smart enough to know it.  The topics in the above posts may be that obvious to most, so the line is drawn.  

Extensive discussion of the topics, especially when alias' are available, will most likely take off in directions that nobody here should encourage.  So, I think forums like this should draw some lines - just because we do something that society officially frowns upon or judges to be inappropriate doesn't mean that we cannot set limits on our behavior and discussions.

I agree with Dixie_chicken, just becasue we are doing something that is illegal (when it in fact it should not be) does not mean we have thrown out all sense of propriety with the bath water.

AIDS: there were several huge discussions on this where Mathesar, (our resident actuary?) calculated the risks. You might them up.

Virulent STD's: No opinion on how taboo it is. I have to admit I haven't seen many posts on it-- the ones I have seen weren't very informative. They were at the level of: "can I get an STD doing this, and how do I know?"

I'm guessing I've seen around 40 ladies over the past few years. With 9 of them, we went beyond the normal. It has happened with relatively new ladies, in addition to well reviewed ladies.

If it does happen, it usually happens the first time I see the lady. It is not on the menu. I do not ask for it. Safety equipment is easily available. It happens in the heat of the moment, and she is a willing accomplice. Future dates are at her normal rate, with just as much fun.

Fortunately, I have never had an STD, with the most recent test a few weeks ago.
