I tour alot in the east coast and obviously I operate in hotels. Hotels are getting more expensive, especially in NY.
I don't know if this question has been asked before, but has any body operated out of vacation houses when on tour? If so how do I go about the process?
This question has been discussed at length on the Legal Board. Operating from a house you own or hold the mortgage on is potentially very risky from a legal perspective in most states where there are laws that allow the government to seize the property including all contents in the home. Operating from a rental could result in immediate eviction and full payment of the remaining lease even though you are kicked out. But it varies by State.
I had my first hobby experience at my timeshare. The lady had me pick her up at a shopping mall. Got back and had 3 hours of fun, been hooked ever since. She was impressed with huge jacuzzi and other features of the timeshare. We fucked in about every room, lol. It was my first greek experience.
I got a laugh because 1 hour before my appointment the wife called on a direct phone line asking if I was being a good boy.
... for the reasons Fuzzy and others point out, the financial ramifications of a vacation house are far more involved than renting a hotel room or suite...
If on the other hand, you are going to team up with a few other ladies and do a barnstorming tour and offer couples, doubles, and group therapy... then the idea of shared expenses and a house begin to make more sense... its still far riskier and costly than a hotel room, or even a suite though.
Ideally, find hobbyists with second homes they aren't using and work something out (hey theres an idea)
There are a lot of vacation homes in my area... most are small lots, houses close. Many are winter rentals. 1 week rentals are typical in season. Strange coming & goings might not get noticed for a single week. It's a rental so strange cars are expected. You'd have to be discrete of course & the rental next door might have kids they're trying to get to sleep (will car headlights flash through their windows regularly). This has all the problems of an appartment. One thought, you might want to get with a rental agent, tour available locations... & move every week for a change in scenery. just my thoughts, skb
