Open question(s) to Discussion Board Admin ???......teeth_smile

There has been so much rampant  speculation, theories, rumors, bogus info, BS, and  foolish talk involving this site of late that it only makes sense to get the answer(s) from the ownership/the "horse's mouth" as we say in the states. Hoping to get some real honesty here.  I believe it's in ownership's best interest to clear the air and answer the following questions. The rumors and speculations are not helping you, or the site.  If you don't want to answer them publicly, a PM is much appreciated and please pull my post.

Does TER have NEW ownership in the last  year or so ????  Many believe that is the case.

Is the site for sale??? Many think there are signs that a sale is imminent?

If Discussion Board Admin is NOT  a new person or owner at TER, WHY have you taken such a high profile in the last few months??? If you are a  new owner or the site is for sale, this would explain that?

Are you Dutch??? Or from elsewhere in Europe?

I have many other questions, but think many many members would love to know the answers tto the 4  questions above.  Many thanks, and I respectfully would be interested in hearing from you publicly or privately.   Thanks!!!   :-)

The rumors are off the charts in every direction about this site, and most of the rumors are not good ones. I can smell BS a mile away if someone is not honest with me.  I think it can only behoove/help Discussion Board Admin to clear the air.  No one had even heard of "Discussion Board Admin" 8 -12 months ago.  Now he is making wholesale changes as only an owner would/could.

Others have ask and are met with silence. They don't even communicate with their own mods. There is no reason to not ask but I doubt he/she will answer. As I said good luck, I hope you get your answers, but if you do, you will be the first I have heard of getting them out side of the clarifications on cruise directors and I have my own theories on why DiscussionBoardAdmin responded there. As I said, good luck. You will need it.

I fail to see any reason you NEED to know who the owner is or why they do what they do. I can think of a few very valid reasons that the identity of the owner(s) should NOT be common knowledge.

Did you even read my post?  I'm not asking the owner his name or the name of the Discussion Board Admin either. I'm not asking for identities. The questions I asked are basic, and most members with a real interest in this site would like them answered.  Maybe reading is not your forte "Handful"?

Go play in traffic if you don't like the thread.

If you read my post, I asked to be PMed if he did NOT want to post publicly. Most members I know are asking the same questions I'm asking, and would like to hear the answers.  It seems pretty obvious to many that the site is being "apple polished" for sale, OR  has changed hands recently, and that's why we have a new "Board Boss" and Admin. I think the site is for sale, and there are many signs pointing to that.

If you read my post, you would know that I believe you are assuming that the TER Admin and Staff read posts on this particular board. As this board is currently being moderated by volunteer TER mods, that would be a big assumption. Hence, you may need to be proactive in contacting the TER Admin yourself.

YES absolutely!  Many of us have a better handle on the pulse, and mood of the site than anyone else - bar NONE. We interact with members in person, in bed, on the phone, in PMs, and emails. We hear all the rumors, and buzz too.  We also live here.   Makes sense.

Me personally, no. I would not trust a multimillion dollar investment to volunteers. I would not trust my investment with those who with an attitude of "if you don't like how I do things, then fire me" (a very prevalent attitude among volunteers who are not financially beholden to their bosses).

Writing a post on a board does not necessarily mean that every post on that board is being read. That is for the TER mods to do. If this board should follow that of Atlanta and Florida, then yes, TER Admin and Staff will regularly read the Board posts.
