No, they can't, unless you have a clear record that the transaction was explicitly money-for-sex.  Names and phone numbers alone would prove nothing.

And, remember, mostly prostitution is a misdemeanor.  LE isn't going to go through that much trouble, unless they think they have a good chance of finding something major, or gaining something major in asset forfeiture connected to a crime.

A similar question was asked on the Legal board a few month ago.  It seemed to me that the consensus of the people there that appeared to be lawyers was that if LE got someone that knew you had done the act to testify against you, then they could come after you if it was worth the effort to them.

What utter garbage!  So your name is on a hard drive or in a little black book.  That means NOTHING.  If there is no hard evidence a crime was perpetrated, then there is no crime.  All they have is the word of a person who "says" you did something vs. the your word saying you didn't.  

Prostitution is a misdemeanor.  They won't go after you with full force for something so minor.

Now if you ask if they can make your life a living hell, turning everthing you know and love to crap, getting your fired, getting you divorced, etc...well now that's another story.

If you are special to them you have a problem. If you have no history for them to be intrested dont sweat it.

you will be given a chance to snitch voluntarily, be charged yourslef (w/o evidence as a scare tactic) or you can get an attorney and be quiet.  LE will try their lowest best to intimidate and threaten you with charges, they are blowing smoke.  

So best is to shuddup and "lawyer up".  Otherwise,  If I were her I would turn against YOU as she should if you try to rat her out!!  IMHO if a guy rolls on a lady to save his own skin out of his own stupidity, he deserves the same!

that the "black book" or eomputer ONLY has your name and number. As off the wall as some may think, there are people who keep an entire detailed ledger including dates, times, location, money received and acts performed.

And before you say "providers don't do that", remember the news report about the Seattle provider who was keeping the used condoms with the semen from the clients she was having sex with.

If a ledger contains the information included above, LE might come after you.  And if you think your name in a ledger means nothing, good for you... but you won't be one determining guilt or innocence at your trial.  I think "joe average public citizen" can see without much trouble that an escort who has your name, telephone number and a dollar amount in her book will believe you were her client and the money listed wasn't a fee for marriage counseling!

The bottom line on whether LE will come after you is whether or not the arrest will be worth their effort.
