what i find funny is ...   a girl has rates clearly posted on her website and on review websites and clearly linked to her profile, email and phone number...   but if there are different rates on different sites and i text to clarify, i get a huffy "  i don't discuss donations and good bye " response.         maybe i am missing something ... or maybe its just blonde logic

what do you find funny in the hobby ?

Is when the provider self proclaims “Throat Queen” or something similar in her ad, and then their NO list includes BBBJ, CIM, COF, etc.  Granted, she might actually be a Throat Queen, but I’ll never find out if that’s her specialty but it’s covered.  Or the provider that has a rate of $800/hr but no LFK, DFK, FIV, FOV, BBBJ, CIM, COF, etc. Of course, I move on quickly, just noting what I see a lot these days.

is someone thinking it’s funny that a provider won’t discuss her rates in text messages.

It’s common for rates to be out of sync between a private website and a site like TER.  There’s ways besides asking about rates in a text message to deal with that situation, for example, ask the provider in a medium more secure than a text message (options may include encrypted email, P411 PM, TER PM) if the info on her web site (or P411 profile or TER profile, whatever she has) is up to date.

I'll simply confirm that the rates on her website are up to date if I see multiple rates listed. I never assume any other source is the correct rate. Confirmation is only by email.

When she is advertising on new sites, she may adjust the rates a little so that she knows which site is generating potential customers.  Service providers across many industries do this so they can narrow their advertising efforts to those platforms that perform the best for them.  If its not this, then my second choice would be your "blond logic" or sloppiness.

Don't even mention the other ads/rates.  I have done this in the past with no issue.  If she says that ad I mention is incorrect, that may end my interest.

Some sites indicate "member" special.  When I see a posted rate on a personal website and then a lower rate on the member site, it can mean the special is in effect.  I usually ask if the member rate is correct just to be sure and avoid unnecessary drama.  Alternately, as noted above, it might just be inattention to detail (i.e. sloppy) or posting on too many sites.

I just want to say That it's weird that you just go from site to site on 1 Provider to see her prices and services. Any hobbyists that does that seems to do that so that he can argue over the Prices and Services so that he pays the cost of what he wants & tries to force the Provider into doing what she "Provider" does not provide. Guys !!  Come on !! Really?!!

You will get the lowest rate and she will take that to mean the ad with the lowest rate is the one getting her the business, even though you might have seen her somewhere else first.  She will then get a surprise when she raises the rate on THAT site and another site with a lower rate starts generating the customers.  Lol   That's why a marketing approach like this can often cause more problems than its worth.

I think there's a difference between hobbyists who love to haggle over prices and try to get something cheaper than what is advertised and people who check different ads.  The former are wasting a provider's time and should probably just be blocked.  The latter are just doing their due diligence in comparison shopping.   Do you never look for better prices when you are buying something, especially if it is a big-ticket item?  No one likes to feel taken advantage of because they got charged more than other people.

i have consistently seen the highest rates on a lady's own site followed by  P411 and lowest on TER ....   almost always if i ask about the TER rate the reply is "that's an old rate no longer good and they haven't updated it"

i have found the P411 rate though is usually honored -  my belief is the website rate is high due to the number of un verified guys contacting that way and the time and energy it takes to check them out  .. vs a P411 guy which only takes a couple clicks to confirm.

anyway thats been my experience and thoughts.
