I don't claim to have a solution to the ongoing debate about whether to share personal data with a provider or booker, but I'm watching a situation play out right now that reminds me of the danger.
Lady I saw several times in Florida retires from P4P to start life with new boyfriend. Sad to see her go; she was a great lay on my visits to the Sunshine State. We kept in touch. Doesn't delete all the information she had from a couple of years of hobbying. Now, 3 months later, she tells me boyfriend (now ex-boyfriend)--who turns out to be a druggie and petty thug--found the information and threatens to disclose to LE, to friends, to family, etc., unless lady pays a bagful of cash. Every picture of a driver's license, every mention of a real name and place, and every reference to an employer she might have is now at risk. Fortunately, I never gave her any of that shit because I got in with references. I dodged a bullet. Others did give that information. What happens next with them? Maybe nothing. But who knows.
...and have put up some pretty impressive reviews. Glad you kept your big head in the game and didn't fall for the trap. Nice dodge of possible kill shot!
her new boyfriend is NOT her ex, and that they concocted this scheme together to raise some easy money from terrified former customers who have something to lose if discovered. I'm surprised you took it seriously. On the other hand, if you say "gullible" out loud slowly, it sounds like "oranges."
he says that HE dodged a bullet, but if he didn't give her any info she could use to harm him, as he claims, there was no bullet to dodge. I think he just wanted to be part of the drama. This is the same guy who posted a few weeks ago that he has been a TER member for 25+ years. (Ter is in its 23rd year, launched October 1999.) LOL
After a couple of sessions with one particular provider we started texting off the clock. One thing lead to another and soon she was stopping by my place while on tour and we were having relations, no charge. She got busted, the cops confiscated her labtop, phone, and anything else hobby related. It worked out for me, not necessarily the legal situation she was in, but her close proximity to me (I would head up to see her for the weekend while she was within a couple of hours driving distance). Nothing ever came out of it adversely for me, but still it's pretty scary. If you know you know, these providers don't get rid of your information.
