I'm fairly sure, they know what they are doing.

Women I know who do this seem to do the one day as a stop over when driving from big city A to big city B.  

The provider I see most under these circumstances stops for an overnight in my little piece of heaven here. She stays at a nice 3 star hotel that probably costs her $100. I know she does a little advertising to see if she can line something up for that evening as she sees me which she does first thing the following morning before checkout.  So even if she only sees me she's still making a damn nice little profit.  Plus, she has a sure thing any time she wants, and since she has to stop overnight somewhere why not spend it with me and make some money enroute to bigger playing fields lol

...They could be on the way to somewhere else so the expense of being there one day was a given. By advertising they may get a booking or two and make a few bucks.

I have a few gal pals that come into town for a civie related reason and they can make some money while they are here.  

Other gals are actually in town more than the one day they claim, but they come into to see a big $ client for one day so they have the next day free.

Don't believe everything you read bro.

The last lady I saw explained to me why she traveled and spent only a day or two at a certain place and it finally made sense to me.

She provides locally but she wants to keep a low profile there because she's working on eventually establishing a "normal" life, going to school and working, etcetera. So she never advertises locally but goes on trips when she has time in order to bring in extra cash. She advertises her travels in advance and then the she makes a circuit in her car between several cities where she knows she has some regulars who will see her and some good previous luck in making new friends.

Sounded like a very smart lately.
