i guess i am on ter about a hr everyday. i usually check the reviews for ny mostly and peruse the discussion boards (general & ny).
Little used but great source of data.
to see it say 50+ % of people NEVER get tested for STD's.
I feel sick.

I wish the world really worked according to all your comments which I always look forward to but this can't be a surprise for you. On the same survey, the average times per month a hobbyest sees a provider is 0-1. If the sex is protected, then odds are very low (and if the provider is not a drug addict standing on the street corner). The STD testing falls primarily on the provider who runs the most risks simply by sheer number...my 0.02 but I think informed.
Which brings up a question...if a provider finds out she has an STD, does she contact her prior clients that she recently saw or otherwise has some reason to believe are at risk?
No, that's just it - it's a HUGE surprise to me. To me, if you're having sex, you need to get tested - especially if there are multiple partners. Yes, it may be covered, but getting tested rules out any possibilities - for which we all are responsible for - and prevents anything further, by nipping it 'in the bud'.
I'm not trying to come off as 'holier than thou', but it's just too important. I am with gentlemen assuming (yes, I know) that they are responsible in this area, just as they are assuming I am (and they would be correct).
Even when I was without sex at one time in my life for a period of three years, I still got tested every six months, as HIV can take a long time to manifest itself.
If I know most men, it's simply because it's like pulling teeth to get them to go to the doctor ANYWAY, and so they are more fearful of that, or procrastinators, rather than truly a desire to be irresponsible or uncaring about this serious subject!
I got a PM just now, before going on the boards, from a gentleman who said he just now got tested, finally. After all, he wasn't sure WHERE to go, what to do, and worried about the questions, etc.
You can ALWAYS go to PLANNED PARENTHOOD (I choose to leave them a hefty donation for their wonderful service to us all), and get tested and they are very non-judgemental. Here's another 'good' thing. Society still doesn't seem to care much about the sexual practices of men NEARLY the way they do if you're a woman! So, you've got that going for you, too!
Get tested everyone! It's not hard.

As far as 'ragging on the dudes' about getting tested, well, I'm not trying to rag on anyone - I'm APALLED to find out that they don't get tested! But, hey, if ragging is what it takes, then so be it! And if I have to become a Dom to whip their cute little asses for not getting tested, then I'll do that too! LOL
But, I have to leave and won't be back for several hours, so it will wait. I invite you to email me, post here, or PM, but I certainly don't want any miscommunication.

But you are right- those of you going out in the rain ought to get your flu shots or at least a lok from the doc whenver you can. Even my beautiful doctor (she's hot- really -freaks me out a little)(OK a lot)(but if I am a feminist- I have to pay the freight) was told by me that I am not totally monogamous and to check for beasties of all sorts. Quizzical look made her even cuter! But she does due diligence ...
And no, i did not tell her that only to get her to handle slim jim and the twins!

funny that you posted this, as I posted something just the other day in a thread on the SD board with the very same question.
But, I don't know the answer to your question, and I think it's a question for both the ladies AND the gentlemen. Maybe they don't know the answer themselves until they've 'crossed that bridge'. It is one question we should comtemplate and prepare for, however, sort of like your reserve fund, or emergency fund (such as times of unemployment), etc.

Morning and evening mainly to check the boards, PM. and new reviews of favorites.
Every morning while having my coffee, I log onto TER. I read the new reviews and couple of the discussion boards.
I spend about half an hour on TER before a go about my day.
If I have the time I log in again evening time and see what is new.
Appx. one hour a day Iam loged onto TER, and I love it.
How often do I log into her? As often as she'll let me, of course.
