It often seems that providers charge different (lower) rates when traveling. I understand the laws of supply & demand, but, given the cost to travel and the fact that most get to enjoy very little of the areas they visit, why wouldn't a provider either stay where she gets more $$$, or lower her home rates to drive more volume?
Yes in general traveling girls have to charge more. Especially this summer - which is slated to be the heaviest vacation season ever.
Hotel rates are through the roof in many places. We cancelled a trip to LA last week because the cheapest decent place we could find was over $300 - even a Best Western wanted $189 PLUS taxes. $200+ for a BW - not in this life honey.
Other than Vegas where we work about a week a month in the winter my partner and I mainly travel to places we want to visit. What I'd call working vacations. Otherwise it's generally not worth it. But I really enjoy traveling as an escort. We often meet great local guys who take us places we'd never think to see on our own.
There are other reasons girls travel. One is they simply have dated everyone in their local area who is interested in meeting them, regardless of the price. Or they live in smaller towns with reputations to protect. Those girls have to make enough to pay the trip costs plus home costs, plus a little extra.

from my talking with some ladies, it seems that some lower their rates to try to increase their volume a bit when traveling. Quite a few ladies travel specifically for the business. So they may make up in volume what they may lose in local charges. However, they do have other expenses that they would not have at home, such as hotel, transportaion, etc.
I guess it's up to them. They know their business much better than I ever will. I know that I have contemplated flying a special lady in to see me for a long weekend at a considerable cost. But as Ciara said, there are other expenses we don't even think about that they have to deal with.
So, my answer is, I don't have a clue. I'm just glad that there are some ladies, one in particular, who has shown an interest in flying across the country to see me. It's my fault we haven't done it.
