our how ever it goes. It can fool you. Someone has to have some experience in this field ??????  

A few years back I was at the Aria in Vegas. It was around 3am so and I decided to grab a bite at that time their 24 hour cafe.At a table a few feet away, I saw a woman, looked to be between 32-35 yo and must have been Thai, Cambodian or Filipina...She was extremely beautiful, elegant and refined. The way she was dressed, it was to the 10's. Needless to say she was hot as fuck. She was with a young white chick, kinda like the river rats that you'll see there. Her age, maybe 21-23. The two together just didn't add up, I couldn't see the connection. The young girl was loud and partying, kinda drawing a crowd. Soon about 4 good ole boys, with their cowboy hats and wranglers joined their table. It got loud. The older lady looked very uncomfortable and she was quite as all the partying was going on. I called my waiter over to pass the Woman a note, it had my number and with the message if she wanted to be bailed out of there. She got the note, looked at me, smiled and moved her lips to say "It's ok, thank you". So I left it alone.
Then later as I was going to my room, I ran into the woman. I asked WTF happened over there? She laugh and told me the story. The young girl took off with the 4 guys probably never to be heard from again. We shared a drink at the bar and I was mesmerized by her beauty. I wanted to make a move...but she sensed it and she told me she was a TRANS...i said, "So you're a dude"....yup...Man I was suckered punched. But she was straight up. She said "it's probably not your lifestyle".Told her thanks for being honest and we called it a night and we went our separate way.
As I was ready to crash out, she calls me and we talk. She told me her story....It was a lesson in life at that time.

All you have to do is look at the reviews on any of the big city TER pages and there are dozens of TS reviews. So yes, there are lots of "on purpose" meetings. Not sure whether any of those guys are willing to share their experiences with someone who seems to be treating it as "tell me about the time you were abducted by aliens" experience, but you can certainly read their reviews if you're TS-curious.

Similar but it was a civvie at a bar. She recognized me as being first on the scene of a bad accident that made the local news. Before we got much further past “yeah, that was me” the bartender waived me off. Good wingmen are an under appreciated cohort in this world.

I think that there are some distinctions. I am NOT an authority so please correct me if I'm way off base.

There are transvestites (TS) who are men who dress and act to pass as women. They still have their penis and might not have any plans to part ways with same. They might take drugs to enhance their boobs. They might feel more comfortable dressed up as and acting as women but they are still attached to their manhood and know that they are male TSes.

There are trans women who are genetically XY male but who have the "I was born the wrong way" thing going on. They don't just like to dress and act as women, they feel that they ARE women (except for the Y chromosome and other male parts).

I think that most TSes will be honest about being male but enjoying life better as a TS. I think that trans women are psychologically women (gender dysphoria) and, usually, won't admit to being XY male transitioning or transitioned to female. If I understand it correctly, Bruce Jenner is no longer Bruce; she is totally Caitlyn.

A more noble pursuit in the context of male comradeship I do not know. Especially when it falls on the honorable wingman to take a direct hit so his buddy can get laid.

Transvestite is denoted "TV" and/or "CD" (cross-dresser).  They can be gay or straight, man or woman.   Many drag shows in Vegas and clubs in SoCal feature CD's who are married to women and have kids.  It's just a job to them, not a lifestyle.  TS is a transsexual, someone who identifies as a different gender than what they were born.  

Just going by pictures on the interweb, which may be heavily photoshopped, some of these trans are drop dead gorgeous.

You just have to hope they're honest upfront, rather than get surprised later in the evening.

All great response's. So it seems to be no way to tell the different degree's a trans girl might be at.  One poster mentioned a mans adams apple or other signs. Total  turn off for me. End of the day it seems like a man is a man regardless of  how much surgery has been done and I have no interest in going down that path. Even though a recent add in my area caused this post of a beautiful T Girl add I am out of the trans deal. New VR glasses might be interesting but at 3K in cost that will buy me a few good dates with real women.
