OK, we need some statistics here. I track the profiles on the incall providers

in Los Angeles and Orange Counties.  There are currently 251 providers on this list, but some are massage only.  I have detailed statistics on the 39 escorts with the best reviews.Nicole, you aren't included because you are Outcall only -- much to my regret.  However, I will e-mail you a complementary copy of my report.  If you would like to get it regularly, let me know by return e-mail and I will put you on the subscription list.Here is the breakdown by price of a 1-hr session:$500 - 1$400 - 7$350 - 2$300 - 19$250 - 4$225 - 1 (actually $300 for 90 minutes)$200 - 4$150 - 1Here is the breakdown by price for the top 10 of the 39:$500 - 1$400 - 4$350 - 1$300 - 4I don't know what the price "should" be, but this clearly shows the distribution of prices for the groups that TER reviewers regard as the "better" escorts and the "best" escorts.  It also shows that the "best" group is more expensive than the "better" group.  It would seem likely that the "better" group is more expensive than the average of all escorts, but I won't venture a guess as to how much more expensive.  That's why this site is so valuable.  By reading the reviews you can get a good idea of who the best escorts are (although as always YMMV with any particular escort).  You can tell who the least expensive escorts are.  You can also determine who gives great value for the price they charge.  If you think this is a plug for taking out a VIP membership, you are right.

I don't know about the rest of you guys but I'm heavily invested in the stock market and I'm going to have to put my hobbying on hold indefinitely. Not only have my investments (mostly tech, ouch) been hammered over the last year, but now I'm trying to scrape up any available cash to buy stocks while they're cheap and get my dollar cost average down.These things invariably go up, and I'm going to be there when it happens. Therefore I don't look at it as 300 dollars for an escort, but more like 500-1000 dollars that I could have made a few short years from now. So now come my questions...Hobbyists - Have you cut back on the quality/quantity of your hobbying due to the slowing economy and stock market downturn?Providers - Have you noticed a drop in business, and an increase in bargain shoppers? Have you lowered your prices or considered offering specials?That's my 2 cents,MeP.S. (What's up with these girls charging 200 an hour for FBSM? Put out or get out I always say.)

As of yet, I have not noticed a change. However, at present we are of course, engaged in the tax season so things are as usual in terms of business.I have evaluated my rates and though I only offer outcall, I do have 2 hours at 500. I know this is lower than many of the other "high end" providers, so figure this is more than fair for current economy. So far, so good. Of course, this does mean that my services during the 2 hours must be the best I can offer. BTW, if someone does book with me after the fist time, I do have an hourly rate. I do not encourage this for first time though and do prefer the longer, more personalized engagements.In fact, the majority of my fun with you gents has been the pleasure of a dinner date or overnight, travel. Just my lil' ol' opinion...............your rates are great, I have tested all the "midrange" providers and before I exit the hobby I am going to try a high end provider.I have done extensive study, and you are high on my list.So I will be calling as soon as my schedule permits.I have been curious about how the economy has affected the hobby

Just a superb analysis, Mathesar. The sample size of all providers is large enough to see a near gaussian distribution. Isn't statistics great, especially when you can use it to quantify something like this. Now all you need is to measure this distribution over time, and see if it is correlated with the NASDAQ/S&P/DOW levels. That could scientifically address whether escort prices are related to the stock market, although I can't offhand think of a journal to submit it to.

Very interesting data there are a couple of things that confound these results.  One is the TER selection set.  For example, what is the rate for escorts that come of the L.A. Weekly.  Is that the name?  If you shop from the paper is it roughly the same price?  The TER crowd is just more expensive because the market is more affluent.Also this distribution very well could be price leadership as we have cities like Atlanta and New Orleans where the TER type of provider are also asking for 300/hr.  We should keep in mind that the women that are in TER are also on the web for others including providers to see rates.  Another thing to keep in mind as you said is that published rates may vary from actual rates or YMMV or maybe said another way YGWYPF.  You get what you pay for.  A question for everyone then is how many times have you received some type of price discount either as in more time for free or actually a lower price than published?  Please don’t name any names.  Just number of times.Also does anyone have outcall data of this type?  There are arguments in either direction that outcall should be less expensive or more expensive.You have to love economics it is about as clear as mud!

I think providers should follow the lead of our new president and lower the burden on us, the customers, by lowerering rates immediately.  In fact, I think it should be retroactive to Jan 1st.This would grow the economy......or at least a small part of it.
