Long time punter outside the USA, new to this site and board.

It strikes me that the price for ladies here is generally very high compared to other countries (e.g. UK) and yet there are still a lot of ladies who don't have any reviews.

I've rarely seen a lady that doesn't have any reviews, and the times I've had I've severely regretted it.

So, I guess I have two questions that I don't understand:

1. How do girls without reviews make any money?
2. Are there really guys out there who are willing to take risks and not have the best experience possible because they can't be bothered to do a Google search?

I only ask because there are quite a few girls on Cityvibe, for example, that cost upwards of $400 for an hour.  Not everybody can afford that, and I would have thought those that could would have the intelligence to do their homework first.

There are several "subsets" of the hobby if you will.  I am not going to mention newbs here.  Lets assume that clients are not newbs and participate in p4p for a while.

1) CL world of instant gratification.

No reviews, no screening, no GFE.  Generally bargain hunting for people with high risk tolerance.  Biz is done based on volume.  

2) Review Board world.

Reputable well reviewed ladies picked by gentlemen who enjoy on board interaction in addition to actual encounters.  These clients are aware of screening needs and have P411/datecheck/whitelists/reviews. They would not dream of seeing non reviewed girl.

3) The rest of the world.

Review boards are a complete unknown or something that they heard of but never been subscribed to.

Often these gentlemen will look at ad, website and contact the lady based on what they read and saw.

Based on your reasoning there would never be any new girls because no one would see them.

There are awesome girls out there that choose not to be reviewed and still provide excellent experiences.

Dear Ms. Calady:
Now since you have identified and define the subsets of hobbyist, now discuss how it is important for hobbyist and when they visit reviewed women how much more expedient it is to become verified when they want to see a woman. What the gentleman doesn't understand is that now both parties would know that they are safe when they become part of these communities.

For every provider on TER with reviews, there are 100 who remain UTR and have exclusive clientel and/or don't want or need reviews.  There are several underground sources/networks that cater to this type of thing. When a lady has a steady monthly thing going, why should dhe have reviews?

But often times, these arrangements come to an end and these girls are forced to go ATR and although they have been around a while, they have no reviews.  I don't think anyone would ever want a review unless it was neccessary for business.  I would hate to have to read about my looks and performance every day.  In my mind, I'm a 10/10, but that's only because there are no reviews out there on me (that I know of).  It's a highly personal thing.

Women are allowed to charge whatever they want and/or need to pay the bills.  I find it insulting when we guys complain about rates. If you don't think it's a value, move on.  The lady will either get her rate somewhere else and make what she needs, or adjust to the market conditions.

Rates are rates.  We make the most informed decisions we can for the best value.  Even with reviews, I have been burned.

First, I disagree about rates in the UK. If you add in the exchange rate, I have had similar experiences here (DC) for a fair amount less (25% or so) less than the UK.

Aside from UTRs, etc. some subset of providers are only into scam/RO.

After that, there is a whole subset of guys not using TER.

Hell, we still have a thriving section of road with plenty of foot traffic to choose from, if that's your thing (and you're not worried about LE).

We're going to have to agree to disagree on the rates.  Standard rates here on the West Coast seem to be $250 for K-girls.  Then it seems $400+ for the rest in general.

In the UK, a decent experience, say a K-girl on a par, but could be one of many European nationalities is £150.  At US1.5 to £1 that's US$225.

Or am I looking in the wrong places?
