I have been fortunate enough to receive a couple of "thank you" emails from providers after a date or a review.  I know that is rare, but I chalk it up to quantity - not charm.

However, I have had a couple of occassions where a provider has written me out of the blue and said they have read my reviews or posts - and they are interested in meeting sometime.  It is purely solicitation and marketing on their part, but I love it.

One provider could site some of her favorite passages verbatium and another is running for president of the holeydiver fan club.  

It is an interesting angle and it works (on me anyway).  Ronny James Dio, eat your heart out.

I've heard of that happening before. Some guys feel solicited and get upset about it, other guys (like you) are flattered by it.

Personally, it would take a very sincere note from the girl for me to be flattered and there would have to be something in my reviews that she 100% genuinely was drawn too. It would be hard to pull the wool over my eyes. I'd be so skeptical that is was no more than a targeted marketing attempt by a lady sees a bunch of reviews written by a guy and equates that to dollar signs.

But if the lady was able to convince me that she was sincere, I'd definitely give her a shot.

While the compliments may be sincere, insincere compliments seem to work just as well on men. We guys typically don't get the kudos in everyday life so we're easy prey to some complimentary words.

You mean that something that I would say or do on these discussion boards would be "exciting" to a provider?  lol!  what a hoot!  I just cannot imagine a lady being excited by what I say either here or on the "chat" board! lol! or wanting to meet me because of a M&G event.... that just would never happen! lol!

Well, maybe if I put my name in all caps?  does anyone think that would help?  lol..... WINK!!!

I would love to meet - after seeing their posts on TER!  Won't say who, but there are some, who make me think twice or brighten my day because of the way they view the issues presented.....   no, I am not gay.. or even bi.... but do appreciate the thoughts of others and the humor that they sometimes bring to the board....

comeon, how many of us, get a real chuckle out of Lex Leuthor's many fine posts?  I know that I look forward to them!

like to use, personaly I was sort of raised to think that would show a lack of class. I will admit from time to time after seeing postings on the boards that were consistantly interesting funny or what ever I have contacted the poster to thank them for the enjoyment they bring to the boards.
As one mentioned Lex Luthor has an interesting way of looking at our little world as does Jockeypants whom I have missed seeing since I got back on the boards Some others who I enjoy reading are BizzaroSuperDude coochmeister and Turkana.
There are also some ladies who post here I would enjoy maybe getting to know CiaraPhx, SexyCarolina and Carrie of London to name a few. All in all I have found this to be a very refreshing community most of the time that can deffinatly stimulate the mind.
