defend MY country, family and life with all my might against militant radical Muslims who hate us. Today's world has 30 bloody conflicts going on, 28 of those invlove militant Muslims. Why do they hate us so much? Because we live in a modern world, and they still want to live in the dark ages when they ruled much of the world; No democracy, no civil rights, no women's rights, no acceptance of other cultures or religions. This is the mentality that we are fighting against, and I am willing to fight that fight inorder to protect us all. No, I do not hate Muslims, I hate people who hate me first and want to destroy me.

Religion can be a good thing, but organized religion can be a very, very BAD thing.

Not exactly the most popular thing to say today, but it's not all about our freedom vs. their theocracy.

Turns out the west has been pissing on the middle east ever since oil was discovered there.
CIA-backed revolutions and counterrevolutions, arming both sides in wars, using middle eastern nations to fight proxy battles during the cold war, proping up despots like Sadam because he was anticommunist.

Yes the attacks were the extremists fault, and fighting them is good.  But we also have to fight the social injustices that make it possible to convince young men to throw their lives away just to hurt another nation.

Extremists of all faith require the hopeless to do their evil deeds.  Someone has to be convinced that being a suicide bomber is better than living a long life.

Terrorism will not be defeated by bombs alone.

the reasons they hate us is what you have to look at.Now i hate what they have done and agree with everything we are doing in our fight against terrorism.But you have got to look at the bigger picture.We have propped up an israeli state and funded them and given them all there military hardware and when a palestininan and or arab is killed by a helicopter gunship or a israeli soldier,it is all american equipment and if we didnt get involved in israel we would not have half the problems.I understand that israel needs a homeland but they took that land and put all the palestinians in refugee camps.It is no wonder they hate us and the israelis.99% of them live below the poverty line and we support the israelis ,they have nothing to lose and the radical muslims stand up for there own.This is only my opinion and God bless America!Beleive me i would be the same i hate anyone who is going to attack me or my country but there always is a reason.

Stop defending terrorism.  They've been told, if they give up terrorism, they'll get their own state, don't and they won't.  We have told them this a number of times over the years, they keep choosing terrorism.

 I agree with you and Im not defending terrorism.All Im saying is that they are using that as an excuse and i think that if we werent involved in israel ,that we would have alot less problems.

Not really.  Ossama and his boys couldn't care less about the Palestinians, he wants us out of Saudi Arabia.  You see, there are these two cities in Saudi Arabia, Mecca and Medina, Ossama believes that only muslims should be allowed anywhere near them.  So, he's going to keep killing Americans until we pull our troops out of Saudi Arabia.  It has nothing to do with the Palestinians.

Actually, what I think Ossama is really pissed about, is that the Saudi Royals decided they'd rather have me and my buddies come over and kick Iraq out of Kuwait, instead of letting him do it.  Ossama is just a sick puppy who likes war.  When the Saudi's wouldn't let him play in theirs, he got pissed off at us because we got to have all the "fun".  So, he took his marbles to Sudan, then Afghanistan and tried to start a war with us.

Its also a fact that Israel is the only democracy in the region.  I'm not going to say for a second that Israel is all right, or even that their government is all that great, but its a hell of a lot better than most in the region.  Thats why we support Israel.  Also, if you give terrorists what they want, you encourage terrorism.  Afterall, if its shown to be a successful strategy, why not go ahead and use it?  Only by demonstrating that the use of terrorism is going to hurt their cause, can terrorism be stopped.

What does it take for everyone to just CHILL????  I defintely have my opinions, but I deliberately avoid posting them in threads of this nature once they take a political turn.  Why? Not because I don't feel my convictions very strongly, because  I do...but exactly whose mind will I change.  Yours perhaps??? No friggin' way right?  No difference what specific aspect of history I refer to, or whether I toss about slurs like "Dubya" or "SlickWillie" it's not gonna change your minds an itota.  We really do need a separate board for political discussions.  And if we ever have that I'll avoid reading it myself.
