Jerry Rice is a hero of mine.
He is an athlete who just oozed class in everything he did.

A signed picture... damn.

Just my opinion...

I am so glad someone has been listening to me. If It's good enough for Emitt Smith. Its good for Jerry, too. Nobody said anything when the Cowboys did it. I think its a nice thing to do for someone who actually gave the team his all, and helped win three Superbowl titles. God bless you Jerry, your the last of the "great" 49ers! Hall of fame in 2011 !!

Jerry had to learn these very dificult dances all in a week. Can you learn the Foxtrot, or the west coast swing in a week, and do it better than Jerry? I take ballroom dancing, I know whats involved. He did great for someone who couldn't do the box step before the tapping of the show. I'd like to see what Mr. Emitt Smith's going to do, He's on Dancing with the stars this season. You know I'll keep you posted...

...when Rice announced he was retiring instead of languishing on the Bronco's bench.  Don't be mistaken in thinking that Emmitt was the first to do this.  Several Redskins such as Art Monk were signed by the team, so that they could "retire as Redskins".  It's a classy move, but in the 49ers' case with Rice (arguably one of the 2 or 3 greatest football players of all time), you wonder wtf were they thinking that they couldn't put this together last year?
