Oh It Is A Stupid Idea....

So um, this is kinda crazy but here it goes.

I was at a lunch with one of my institutional clients today and we were chatting and he told me about his next meeting.  He was part of a VC team that was financing a company that prints advertisements on printouts at libraries.  You can print for free at libraries as long as you agree to let the company put ads on your printouts.  Ok - got it.  Believe it or not these guys are raising alot of $$$$.

So I thought what if a Hobbyist or Hobbyists acted as a VC for a Provider - clever huh?  or stupid huh?

This is NOT a PIMP THING!!!!!!!!!

Although I have to admit I have no idea how this would work in detail.

Gals, wouldn't it be nice if someone else fronted the costs!!!!!!!!!!!!

but WTF.

** Why do Americans spend $4 a cup on shit coffee?

** Why do we give $$$ to charity when most of it goes to pay salaries of the charity employees?

** Why do most of us invest in actively managed mutual funds when 3/4 of them don't beat the index?

No one said you had to be smart to get rich...........................

Think about it, eh.

I won't say it's a stupid idea on the part of your friends, but I will say it would be stupid for us to do that. Why would I need to print free copies of anything related to this business? I don't go around passing out hooker business cards and flyers like a cell phone store. I have a website, ads, and reviews. Putting that on a flyer as an ad, would cost that company money, not the reverse. I have not had to copy a book in over 2 years, so no dice there either.

shack didn't serve you well.  Seriously:(

The idea for the printing business and the VC for providers are not interrelated.  OK.

Look that up in the dictionary.

If you have one.

I was simply pointing out that if a company could get funding for printing advertisements at libraries imagine that a Provider could get funding for her business.

Really this is not hard to understand.

Well.  OK for you it is hard to understand.

Now I get it.

See honey the moon and the sun are not the same thing.  Even if they are both in the sky

the opposite stance of Udo concerning charity etc?

My thoughts (if any :D)... If things are wanted to go to certain things, it should only go to where it is intended. I know off the OP, but if I give to charity, I want it spent on the charity... not the employees.

Right, because the schools in fkin Ohio are so much better lol.

No dipshit, I am not the ONLY person who can't understand your posts at times, because they don't make any fkin sense! The others are humoring you. I really don't get wtf you are asking a provider to do. You're the one who said, "Providers, would it not be great to have someone cover all costs," so I assumed it was your weak attempt to coincide that with the damn example of the printing company, and you wanted a serious answer vs. a hypothetical one.

Just draw me a picture next time, Ok?
