With the season starting today (actually started Thurs.) let's hear who everyone thinks will be in Super Bowl XXXIX in Houston Feb. 1...
AFC Championship: Oakland over Miami (Miami's got to win in December some year)
NFC Championship: Philadelphia over St. Louis (I still like the Eagles even though they lost Douglas, Mitchell, & Harris; & I think St. Louis' offense will return this year)
AFC Chumpionship: Who cares? It's the runner-up bowl. NFC Championship: Bucs over Cowboys (Tuna's good, but he's not THAT good.) Super Bowl: Called off when the AFC Chumps run crying off the field after losing the coin toss.
Or perhaps a wild card (a vote of the heart vs. the mind) the Washington Redskins make it all the way. Either would be fine with me. Any Spurrier fans here?
Before yesterday's games...repeat BEFORE...I would've thought the following teams had a pretty good (or at least decent) chance of getting to the Super Bowl:
AFC...Oakland, Denver, New England, Baltimore, Miami, Tennessee
NFC...Philadelphia, Tampa Bay, Green Bay, StLouis, San Francisco
Of the 9 that have played so far 6 lost & 5 of them looked terrible!! Damn good thing I don't gamble on these games like a good friend of mine does...I'd have no money left for the hobby. LOL
