I'm looking for ideas -- the web redirection service I've been using, zdos.com, has disappeared. For those who are unfamiliar with it, it's a service that allows you to create a web site name that's easy to remember, but that actually points the user to another site name that is the real name. In my case, I've always advertised my site as "AbbyLane.isFabulous.com" which pointed to the real name, "AbbyLane.homestead.com"
The "isFabulous.com" name stopped working (maybe zdos.com went out of business, but they didn't warn me!), and my web traffic is down close to zero. Any suggestions? I hate to start with another redirector, since they could go under too, but the real site name is fairly nondescript.
You can set this up yourself, all online, for a small annual fee. Many hosting companies are available. If you are interested in the details to do it yourself, drop me a note via ter mail.
