Just noticed something strange and I'm curious if this is happening for everyone.
I don't seem to have the appropriate options when clicking on the name of an alias. In tree mode, I can "see my posts", but I can't send mail. In flat mode, I can send mail but I can't "see my posts." If the post happens to be an OP, clicking the name in either mode opens a PM, so I don't have the "see my posts" option either way. Again, I'm only talking about aliases. Sure seems strange to me. Almost as strange as a OEOHFPPE.
But what people don't usually understand, is that the flying people eater was not purple, a fact that is established by the lyrics, the graphics notwithstanding.
The flying people eater eats PURPLE people, so if you are not purple, you've nothing to worry about.
Now, as to the OP's concern, this is most likely owing to TER's messing with the software coding again, which I knew they were up to since pages have been very slow to open of late.
LoL! I did know he's not purple, and only eats purple people! However, that's different for Vikings fans.
Anywho, I have no idea if it's just right now because they're tinkering with software as you said, or if it's been like that since new TER. I don't message from the boards very much. I guess it doesn't matter.
So, do we discuss the fact that TER administration is mucking up our software causing who knows what bedevilments, or the hue of a fictional character in a song recorded before most of us were born?

So, you are correct, the two are not mutually exclusive, but the song lyrics per se would not confirm the tint of the people eater's flesh, though in the latter video (which is in color), the beast is depicted as a sort of burgundy.
The old TER was more reliable that way. I also can't figure out when Tree / Flat give different results. Until they fix all the problems, they should just switch back to the old TER. . And I don't know what OEOHFPPE is, either.
