I was working out an agreement with an independent that I found on CL. Right before I was about to get her address and head out the door for a nice incall, she asks to see a picture of me. Thinking nothing of it, I fire off a picture to her and ask for the address. I get a reply back "sorry, I only do whites and mexicans".
Is this just an abnormality, or something I should expect more frequently? I'm just dabbling in the hobby, but if this is going to be what I see....sheesh.

Yes, I think it is an abnormality. Will you see it more than I will? Sadly, yes you will, but there are a lot more ladies who don't give a fat frog's ass about your ethnicity than there are who do. It's their right to see whomever they want, so don't let it bother you. Just move on, and I'm sure you'll find plenty of ladies who are not only willing to see you, but eager as well.
I've ran across a few negatives. I bounce from site to site looking for women who have a look that captures my eye, then I try to set something up with them. I think I'll be laying off of CL for good at this point....that's my 2nd negative experience on there.
who was of a certain race whom a VERY well reviewed provider turned away at the door claiming that he was late for his appointment, when he was not late.
He later found out from her phone operator that his race was the issue and the tardiness was a contrived justification for turning him away.
This provider has extremely hot pics and spectacular reviews and I was planning to see her until I heard of this incident. I am not the same race as this gentleman, but I still don't want to deal with someone who would lie like that.
If she had screened his race over e-mail prior to the meeting, I probably would have still seen her.
As Khori mentioned, CL may not be your best choice for shopping, especially being new. You may want to expand your choices a bit, starting right here. When you're still fairly new, it's a good idea to contact ladies with a good review history. There's plenty of time to experiment later, after you get your feet wet, among other parts of your anatomy.
I'd bet you're either Black, Middle Eastern, or morbidly obese. I've been turned down in the past becauae ofthe latter. (shrug) It's going to happen from time to time unfortunately, and there's really little to be done about it but move on to someone better.
Ignorance is still out there unfortunately, but you shouldn't let one rotten apple spoil the barrel for you.
I'm sorry that you had to deal with that. Don't let a few negative experiences stop you from participating in the hobby. I do see the occasional provider who advertises that she only sees white men. I'm selective about who I see, but race is no issue with me. One of my favorite regulars who I've been seeing for 7 years is a black guy.
It's her loss! Those girls who only see guys of certain races don't realize the opportunities they're missing out on. If you're ever in Atlanta, come see me, I'll make you forget all about that dumbass girl!
But at least you found out before your appointment. I usually send a pic early in the process so she knows what I look like (and who to look for if meeting in public). I've had similar things happen to me and know how it feels. But you'll find almost all the ladies in this world very welcoming to the gentlemen.
if it was something other than the hobby, I would NEVER send a pic. God only knows where that will end up...maybe photoshopped onto the head of some gay guy taking it in the butt, then plastered all over some gay websites! Do you send pics with a resume? OK....So hopefully you learned something...NO more pics! Besides, that would only happen on CL anyway. You will never get asked for one by a provider with the least amount of class. Stick to TER ladies with good reviews. Less chance of error!
you need to take it seriously. There may be sites with reliable reviews like TER but just having reviews does not mean they are equal. TER is customer drive, not provider driven. You can shop elsewwhere & check on TER but it's more time effecient to start here. Yes, at some point you need VIP to read the reviews. Just because she has reviews does not mean they are good ones. If you do not take this seriously, you'll likey have spotty results. I shudaknownbetter but once I gave up on CL my successes have been 100%. skb
First off never ever send a photo of yourself to a hooker working off of Craigslist. Frankly, I'd never send a photo to any provider, but that's just me.
Lucky I say because as it turned out she did not see black mean. Well whooptie do. What if she told you to come right over? Would you? And who might greet you at the door? It might be Larry LE, who also has your photo in his hand to confirm it is in fact the dumb shit that sent it. No offense, but please be smart.
The whole idea of providers that do not see black men has existed since the beginning of time. Is it right? Hell no, it is not right? As a black man is there anything you can do about it? Hell yes and that is to be proactive. If you have selected a pretty provider who you are very interested in getting with, make sure on YOUR own, that she see's black gentleman. ASK, in a professional manner and let her know that you are just saving you both the heartache based on past experiences. Look for any indication on her website as well, if it is obvious move on to plan B. Oh and forget any attempts to allay her fears or misguided preconceived notions because it is not worth the hassle.
In my travels and the many ebony goddesses I have seen, it seems to be clear where a lot of this crap comes from. First their upbringing and influence of those they were around then. Secondly, some of these girls (not many) come from a black pimp background and have bad left over feelings in that regard. Lastly, and I hear this from the black girls (yes some told me they do not see black men, go figure) who say they have to fight the guy off from pounding her to death or overstaying his appointment out of feelings of entitlement and that black men have become stalker-ish and want them to be pimped and they have no interests in that of course.
And the second thing to be thankful for is that you did not drive all the way across town, knock on her door and only then find out that “oh sorry, I do not see black men”, which really sucks then. Unfortunately, as already stated as a black man it is incumbent on you to be proactive and avoid these pitfalls on top of all the other stuff that all hobbyist have to deal with.
I am a lucky man in that all the ebony ladies I have enjoyed none of them said “oh sorry, I do not see old ass crackers like you”. Yikes, lmao
