Big bills or little bills....

What do provider and clients think of using twenties versus C-notes and Fifties?

On the one hand, the smaller denominations are easier to spend because so many places refuse to accept large bills.  Large bills also may attract unwanted attenion.  Also, as a client I like the convenience of going to an ATM and just grabbing a stack of twenties and not going and standing in line at the bank to convert them to C notes.

On the other hand, when you have a long session, the provider ends up with an unmanageable wad of bills if you use twenties.

So which should it be?

Does anyone take credit cards?  (Asked only half jokingly.)

mr fisher : ever think of breaking into your piggy bank & giving her 50,000 pennies ?---just make sure they're rolled------perhaps "rolled" is an unfortunate choice of words----.

I always use $100's. It's much easier and not my
problem how they spend it.

You are so thoughtful!  I always enjoy reading your posts.

Honestly- $20 are much less obvious but as you pointed out- longer appointments can be a pain.  So- for me at least- under $500- $20's are good and over $500- $200 in 20's and the rest in C's.

I go to the drive up teller and get big bills. I book 2 hours or more and I can't get enough out of the ATM to cover that anyway.

Credit cards? Can you say paper trail....

As long as the money doesn't jingle in my pocket I'm a happy camper.

You don't want a paper trail and I sure as hell don't want one that leads to my door.  Hell hath no fury- I am very scared of wives.

Personally, I don't think anyone's going to look twice at a girl paying with a c note vs. a few twenties at the store.

Personally, as long as it's real, I don't mind. I won't accept tubs of nickels, though. ;)

was stalking her ex- husband. She's a famous actress (though not a very good one) and she stalked him quite frequently, I guess. When he mentioned the possibility of her stalking him and bursting in, I thought, yeah right. Sure.

Lo and behold, he had just handed me a shoe box of money (some of these super rich types are quite eccentric) and we started to hang out when this crazy bitch rams her car into the side of the house and tries to hop in through the broken glass of the window. I was FREAKED OUT and he shoved the shoe box at me and said run and don't tell the tabloids. Deal. lol. I ran my ass out of there and hopped in my car (thankfully it was parked around back) and took off looking over my shoulder thinking this crazy bitch was going to get me.

Since then, if a guy mentions his wife or ex-wife is a stalker, I'll keep my heels on during the appointment in case I have to run. ;)

I have about two dozen peanut butter jars in the basement filled with pennies and some day if the bottom falls out, well, that's my back up.

I keep hoping that the government will finally stop minting pennies and then they'll start to increase in value, but I think I heard that there are close to a trillion pennies being horded out there, so the value isn't likely to rise to soon.

Oh well, I can always pass them down.

By the way, I've tried rolling them, but they only go a few inches and then fall over.  What's the big deal about rolling them?

would credit card trails make you or other providers nervous though?

Then there the 2% fee you have to share with the cc company, but I get points for paying for hotels and travel.

I'm taking notes on the currency thing, by the way.

I like having a fat envelope stuffed with small bills.  Since my rates are a little higher, my envelope will be just a tad bit thicker too!

Whoohoo!  Makes me feel like I really earned some big bucks - Lol!

Smooches,

I generally pay with multiple denoninations.  I gather my play money in various increments and therefore sometimes have a mix of 100, 50, and 20's with mostly 50's.  I think most ladies prefer the color green and not what denomination.

I started out with 20's but found it a royal pain since I often schedule multi hour sessions.  The only reason for 20's is I used ATM for my first few visits.

Now I just go to the bank and get 100's- a whole lot easier to count and stuff in an envelope.  If the provider has a preference, well I hate to be insensitive, but sorry!  It's 100's for me :)

question a few years ago.  The lady told me that she was happy with both large and small denominations.  She paid her big bills with the big bills and she paid her samll bills with the small bills.

Multi-hour/doubles...c-notes.  One hour meetings...hitting the ATM for twenties is ok.  No one I have ever seen has ever said anything about denomination.  That being said, the only place I have seen that dispensed c-notes out of the ATM is in casinos...if anyone knows anyplace in NYC that dispenses fifties. please let us know.  As for CC's. don't go there!

I don't think anyone notices when you pay with large bills anymore.
With it costing $40-50 or more to fill up with gas, and over a hundred for an average grocery bill.  People are using $50's and $100's more often.

Believe it or not, I did pay by credit card once.

My bottom line is:  it's genuine US curency, use what you've got UNLESS the provider has actually expressed a specific preference.

I assume that much of this cash get's socked away quickly, so what does it matter in the end?  Except that smaller bills draw less attention?

But still, try to avoid stacks of singles.  And of course, rolls of quarters ain't helpful at all.

When working in Miami I had a few clients that were here on business from Europe. They offered euros or american currency. It's important that if you have clients that will use either to know the current rate exchange. In all cases I chose euros and even with the exchange fee came out way ahead!!!
