businesses are reopening now. What is the first meal you are going to eat when restaurants are back open for in dining options? Will you be dining alone or with a provider? Any dinner date plans or just going out alone or with a friend for a nice meal?
I can't wait to go out and enjoy a delicious steak during a nice conversation and behind closed doors with a gent.
I hate take out and I just want to kick back and relax...isn't the same at home
I'll let the rest of you be Guinea pigs until then.
Then, it'll be ossobuco.
I want to go to LV and spend not enough time with you!
I have a huge crush on you as you can tell!
Personally, as far as dinner I really dig the Golden Steer. The old school vibe and I'm a Rat Pack and Elvis fan.
I know it sounds hokey, but their food and service was immaculate the last time I was there. They even called me 'Mr. Mike' which I thought was cool, and walking in with you on my arm would be the ultimate!
Getting seated at Frank's booth and ordering drinks. Start off with their assorted seafood platter of oysters, shrimp, Alaskan King crab legs, and Australian lobster tail. Have the Caesar salad prepared table side and I'd order the NY Strip with Pizzaiola Sauce.
I admit I'm cheating. I have been there, but I also have their cookbook so it was easier for me to describe a perfect meal for a perfect date with a perfect lady!...
But he had an excuse, he'd been dead for quite a while.
You're supposed to be my brother and making me seem cool with Jaydalee! I can be an idiot all by myself, thank you very much! lol!...
We have a big problem in Minneapolis: a lot of restaurants shut down permanently due to the quarantine. Others are opting to stay closed for a while longer, even though quarantine is slowly being lifted here. So I might head for one of my favorite happy hour hotspots, only to find they're closed.
and all the better with a few gals there to enjoy with me.
When this is "really" over (and not just experimental reopening), I am going to host one hell of a Happy Hour, Dinner Party, Orgy for as many as I can.
I have a couple of groups of friends with whom I am what we call sushi buddies.
Before coronavirus we’d just ping each other and say it was time for sushi. We’d negotiate a date, time and location and then spend the evening filling and subsequently emptying a table full of sushi. Because several of us know our sushi relatively well (not like wine snobs, just enough to keep things interesting) and regular customers at several sushi places, the chef will usually send out something for us to try while we’re there. Sushi chefs do this a lot, I find. This is one of the things that makes a sushi outing fun.
So, for me, a sushi outing with a group of like minded sushi lovers will be one of the first things I do when the Shelter in Place order is lifted.
Have fun

I love sushi as well! There is a place I go to here in Vegas off the strip that has fantastic sushi.
The chef is cool I knew him from another restaurant and he always sends out things for me to try.
Hopefully you can enjoy sushi in the close near future when it is safe![]()
Love sushi as well. Was supposed to be in Tokyo in April and already had reservations at Sukiyabashi Jiro and Umi. As I’ve eaten at these and other top rated sushi restaurants a few times, sort of a sushi snob, but right now I just want good sushi! Already had some good steaks as a few of the restaurants offered take out – but sadly not the sushi restaurants.
On TER, we've spoken about wine, booze, and other tasty delights that have been rated in blind taste tests. There have been blind sushi taste-offs, too. They have even slipped in supermarket sushi in some of those tests. Most supermarket sushi is pretty bad, but once in a while they'd include a "pretty good!" example of supermarket sushi.

I have had one "all time favorite" sushi experience at an ultra high end sushi place, rather palace. Presentation, taste, ... everything was beyond anything else I had ever experienced.

AZ is not locked anymore, thankfully. I’ve already been to multiple dine in restaurants. I feel bad for the service people who are required to wear masks. Lots of great steaks and even better Mexican food in this hot city. It’s make behind closed doors that much cooler.
start opening up this Tuesday. I went to Riverside County this morning and they have already gone to "masks are no longer required, but they are recommended for higher risk people." My observation was that over half the people were NOT wearing them.
As soon as the top steak houses start opening, my first meal will probably be a filet mignon at Mastro's. I will take my current girlfriend, who IS a kgirl, but I don't pay her anything anymore for any reason.
Dig your style and Mastro's is cool. Went there in Scottsdale, Mayor's Center(?). Tell me you got their mac and cheese as a side...
Tried to do the same at home but was a fail..!
Not the kgirl, the mac and cheese!... ![]()
Very good steaks and I particularly like their shrimp cocktail and their very hot horseradish. lol
Do you wake up every morning, thinking 'I'm going to be an idiot today'?....
Back in the old days when I used to hang out at the neighborhood bar. Throwing darts and playing pool with the other regulars, you'd last all of 2 minutes before someone knocked you on your ass...
Maybe that's just me and where I'm from, but fuck.
You are both idiots. But he does it on purpose. LOL
