But perhaps you're right. Besides, I think I'd appreciate you more, me chasing you like this! ;)

Since a lot of providers have lowered their asking's do you think that service is worst because it's not the type of donation they're use to...? or better because it's so much competition...?

But the ladies I see treat me just fine!

As a matter of fact, when I repeat, they're just full of surprises!

If it's the economy, I don't know. I like to think it's because I'm 'me' and they know what I dig. ;)

and it is a rather valid question.

I've seen it work both ways. The PP's (Platinum Pussies" are the ones IMO most likely to have their performance suffer as many of them have a superior attitude to begin with, and probably feel degraded to have to lower their rates.

OTOH I think many women have "stepped up their game" or at least expanded their menu because of the tough times.

Personally, I haven't seen much of a difference> If anything I would have to say that speaking from the clients perspective that things are better than ever.

I know. Better to be a smartass than a dumbass.

But I'm with you on your second point. Stepping up their game or expanding their menus.

I know I've benefitted from it. ;)

Due to the recession, I think several things are happening at the same time.  The following rates are for my city, which is a moderately large midwestern town:

(1) Prices are definitely dropping,  the standard hourly rate (once $300) keeps falling.  The average rate dropped to $250 earlier in the year and is now $200  for many providers.

(2)   Many visiting providers are charging $200 an hour for incalls.  That keeps prices down across the board. A client can get a session for a flat $200, with the hotel room already paid for.

(3)  Truly beautiful providers have more stable rates.   Two gorgeous providers that I see on a regular basis have been able to keep their hourly rate at $300.  One is now UTR and the other is still on P411 at $300.  A few girls seem to be recession-proof, at least so far.

In answer to your question about service & price, my advice: keep your regular clients happy.  Patronage is the key to survival in business, no matter what business you're in.  I hope that helps.  --z

I'd like to believe that the ladies that I see do not alter their performance based on the economy.
The ladies that I meet enjoy what they do and have pride in providing the best service.

If service level decreases because of “the going rate” ultimately they will be lucky to just give it away.

Just my $.02

Where I am, the rates have crept up.

Appears, most of them learned the Target trick, price higher then give 50% discount on the price rice. Up $50 then $25 discount, net up by $25. How about that?

The recession has hit the BWI Area so hard that a lot of the west coast bunnies I enjoy seeing won't come out bere anymore. Now clients have to search even harder just to find a decent looking provider.

I'm actually not one of those girls who solely depend on sites like that. I actually haven't advertised on backpage as much as I use to because of all the girls. I actually have a very good established regular base and it shows in my reviews

If anything, I think they are on an upswing now.

As for service, that is a constant.

No one goes into a session thinking:  "Hmmm, I'll just be 20% worse because I dropped my rates that much."

You either have it or you don't.

Not in Utah, here they are about the same. I am on real whole name bases with 15 currant providers not one has lowered her rate one cent. (They are real life friends of my wife and I not ladies I have necessarily seen.) Now they have all noticed a small volume drop but what business hasn't? Now I am too new to comment on service whether it has been effected one way or the other but I leave happy.

I have seen prices go both ways. In general, those ladies I see have either maintained their prices or raised them; though there is one who has lowered her price.

I have seen no relationship between price and performance in the hobby except a very tenuous one at best. I have seen a relationship between price and appearance, a relationship between price and real estate market,  a relationship between price and advertising venue and even a relationship between price and who a lady's friends are. But I've seen no real relationship that allows you to predict performance of an unmet woman based on rates alone.

Obviously, everyone has a market and a niche -- and how they appeal to that market, which is fine. A lot of people have a perception that if a lady who charges $350/hr is really great, then a lady who charges $3,500/hr would be ten times as great. There is a lot of advertising in a lot of arenas even outside the hobby that focuses on this perception. And since so much of sex is between the ears, to some degree, perception is reality.

And, in fact, there was a famous study of wine you will find very interesting. The study involved heavy-duty wine snobs -- the guys in France who taste wines that cost more for a bottle than most people earn in a year; and whose fortunes are in their capacity to make the finest of distinctions between wines.

The experimenters took a mid-range red wine costing about $20/bottle. They re-bottled it in two bottles -- one label indicating that it was an inexpensive $5 "vin ordinaire" and the indicating that it was $200/bottle stuff.

Well guess what? Did the wine snob experts say "Hey, you just put the same mid-range wine into two different bottles!" Nope!

Instead, the wine snobs -- exact same wine mind you -- proclaimed the wine in the table wine bottles to be flat, sour, barely drinkable, they made faces of distaste yada yada and the stuff in the fancy-labeled bottles to be excellent, cultured, with all sorts of "fine notes," excellent finish, etc.

The only difference was the damned label and the perception of price. That's it. The difference was strictly between the ears of people who are so easily swayed by form that they miss the substance.

This tells you three important things: 1. Don't listen to wine snobs. 2. Don't believe that beyond a certain point, price equates to quality. It doesn't. It equates to image, perception and snob appeal. 3. Pay attention to substance and you will find women with sound substance at any reasonable price point.

In my limited experience, women who raised their price did not perform better for having raised it. If a lady is already a 10+ at a fee of $X, what more can she possibly provide at a fee of $X+100? Or $X+1000? This can create an issue in value-perception for current clients if they aren't grandfathered; and is likely the reason for grandfathering of rates.

Girls who had lowered their price did not perform worse for having lowered it either.

The psychological aspects of this are simply too individual to draw any conclusions.

There are perceptions of clients who are often so profoundly affected by physical beauty that they rate performance higher on that basis alone. There are also clients who really ARE affected by the car commercials delivered in British accents, and so will be like the wine snobs and have a subjective impression of superior performance just because they paid more or the lady stayed at a fancy hotel. There are issues of establishment of expectations such that if a particular expectation isn't met for a fetishized act or attribute, no matter how wonderful everything else might have been, the whole session is seen as a loss. Etc. Etc. Etc. Then there are clients who just plain LIKE the lady, and that emotional content makes a huge perceptual difference.

Certainly, some providers have their self-image tied to some degree to their rates. They feel that if they aren't getting a certain rate, they are being undervalued and this can show up in their attitude and performance. But this can occur with any provider without regard to whether she has raised or lowered her rates. But this is FAR from the only consideration because there are a host of YMMV issues that equate to the woman feeling valued by the client that can be accomplished sans cash. Depending upon the woman's particular orientation and value system, any resentment she may feel generally as a result of market forces might not apply to a given client.

So I see no difference in performance either way.

But, then again, I'm not a wine snob. LOL

So true.  If you want to see a great movie -- based on a real-life episode -- watch "Bottle Shock," which is about how a small Napa winery won a blind taste test against the finest French wines.  There was also a Vodka taste test done by the NY Times a few years ago that included Grey Goose, Stoly, Belvedere, etc.  They added Smirnoff at the last minute as a "control" and it won!  I also completely agree with the fallacy that it's reasonable to expect a $3500 girl to be ten times better than a $350 girl.  YMMV rules.

I've actually seen it go both ways and I think whether performance suffers as a result depends on the individual provider. John had some very valid points. He usually does.  My feeling regarding rates is that a lady should charge both what she is comfortable with and what the market will bear. She should be covering her expenses and being able to work at a pace that she is comfortable with and be able to save money and live comfortably withing her means. I don't advocate living extravagantly as this is not a long term career for most and it is wise to plan ahead. That being said I have often offered specials around Holidays and common lean times of the year. I have regulars and still enjoy meeting new clients as well. When I offer specials I never reduce my level of service, I always look forward to seeing my guests. I love what I do and each meeting is fun and exciting there have been very few that I didn't want to repeat. A lot of it has to do with researching who you are meeting and breaking the ice. Flirt a bit via email or on the phone when you are making contact and chat for a moment. Feel each other out. It enhances the anticipation of the meeting.
It also can let you know if there may be any chemistry.

We have a lot of wine snobs around here.

Here in NC, there's a lot of sub-$200 ads I'm seeing but don't know if they are GFE or multiple cups.
Have tried before and some are GFE and some are not but still ok.
I've seen ads like -  "Try me and I'll topple your ATF for her No. 1 spot". LOL.
But we have to be careful with ads - some maybe too good to be true.

Thanks GaGamblerssmarterbrother LOL... Now and days looking at girls ads I notice that most girls do alot more then what they use to because of all of the competition here in Arizona. For example girls who have never done greek, bbbj, gfe, and even 15 min sessions are doing it now... And what they ask for are super low I saw a provider once asking 40 full service and now I see girls that are actually pretty going as low as 60... The reason why I ask is because when some guys leave reviews they talk about how robotic the service was as if the provider has the same routine for every guy. As if they work in steps. 1. guy comes in, 2. collect donation, 3. take off clothes, etc. That's terrible service!!! Arizona has more then 100 providers a day on BP... Most girls don't know about other sites. So now BP is like a big competition.

It's culturally diverse. Many interesting things to see and do. The local cuisine would be an experience I'm sure foreign to your pallette. Nice hotels in the area resorts. Very mild climate and sunny most days of the year.

Got your interest yet? ;)

I've learned by experience that where the weather is warm my pocket stays empty...

But perhaps you're right. Besides, I think I'd appreciate you more, me chasing you like this! ;)
