Not sure...

I had a gent come visit me today... not so unusual... he left exactly 2.5 mins later... rarer but not unheard of... *I* asked him to go... getting to the thin end of the curve...

You see he had brought a gun.

Now I am a pretty twisted soul.  Like it rough with partners I trust.  Even enjoy breath play now and again... (told ya) BUT... what kind of .... er... ok...idiot... puts a semi-aut down his ass crack (back belt holster but still) and then claims to have forgotten it when he goes to sit down?  AFTER asking all kinds of weird questions...

Not a cop... his references check all just fine.

He left with very little (condsidering)issues... and I never felt threatened per se (which may just be my own invincibility complex) but what the F*&K?

Ok... this was kind of a vent and leads to the question... what is the weirdest/freakiest thing brought to a session?

You have every right and did best kicking him out, too weird.
However I do have to say that he may have actually forgotten he was carrying the gun. I work with a number of hand tools and it is not unusual for me to be carrying one and not realize it. This doesn't compare of course, but some friends that are police officers have to make a conscious decision to not carry a weapon. It becomes as much a habit as having a wallet or purse with you when you leave the house.

This is absolutely no excuse for bringing it or the weird questions. Much better to be safe than sorry.

Unless the guy was some sort of LE, what was he doing with a gun? Next question: Why would he take it with him to see a provider?  Sounds like a wacked out individual.  Let your sisters know about him.  Good Luck

A hand gun to an encounter?  You've got to be kidding me.  What else does someone this absent minded forget?  To shower?  To bring your donation?  Someone this "forgetful" doesn't deserve to be enjoying time with you.  Period.

I go through so much preparation for a date.  Picking out a lady, e-mailing/calling her, blocking out the time for her, showering, shaving (everywhere), dressing, entering directions into my PDA, planning my route, preparing the donation, taking note of her limits, painstakingly going over in my mind all the outrageously wild sexual positions I'm going to be putting her through (LOL), etc.

Good move sending this guy packing.  Takes an assertive and confident gal to do what you did.  Something was up there.  You made the right move.  Glad you're safe.

Maybe he was exercising his second ammendment rights!
Ya know, concealed carry is legal in most states when the individual is properly licensed.
Considering the locale of the questioner, I'm not suprised the question was asked.
Why would someone carry if they are not LE?
Because they can!
It can be as simple and benign as that.

and I say possibly because I didn't request to see his permit.

BUT... LE doesn't even (in it's infinite and rather twisted reason)tend to bring guns into a sting/bust/session.  Granted it could make for a messy report "Suspect resisted arrest and in ensuing struggle pulled my sidearm..."  Just to much for a misdemeanor.

I have no issues with hold of CWP's... If I didn't have a 5 year old I would probably own a gun... she will learn to handle one in the next year.

But it has no place in a session.  And if you don't think to ask before bringing it into what is usually at least a nervous sitch (first time meeting) your playing with fire....

I'm a red head... fire enough I think!

I agree with you Jackson, i go thru pretty much the same routine. But sadly to say, i can understand the other side of the coin also. I carried a gun everywhere i went for many years(in a state with NO concealed carry law too i might add). Once you've had some idiot stick one on your face and tell you to empty your pockets of he will gladly lower your IQ to zero with a lead labotomy, it changes your perspective on having one, or two, or five, but i digress. Anyway, after over 15 years of doing so, it was hard to stop taking it with me. It was just one of the things i grabbed in the morning when i left, like wallet, keys, watch, ect. It probably took me close to a year to be rid of the habit completely. And yes, there were places i went that i shouldn't have had it with me, although i will say that i never recall taking it with me to see a lady. Usually the airport. Damn good thing i don't do it now!! All i'm saying is that yes, the guy was a moron, and it was right to tell him to leave, but i can see both sides of this one.

To answer the original question, the strangest thing i have brought to a date was.........me??  :((

don't see how it's a big deal, assuming he was a gentleman in other regards and references checked out.  I know a provider who carries, she showed me after we'd known each other a while.  She's a sweet lady, and is no less sweet because she wants to be able to defend herself.
