...And I've declined chatting on Yahoo! messenger with potential clients who've found my handle on ads and whose screen names were ridiculous (i.e. MrBigBlackCuckCock4U) lol.

I probably would have been sketched out too.

People who choose overtly sexually vulgar screennames / email handles to communicate with are usually not worth following through with in my experience.  I tend to like clients who conduct themselves professionally until we're behind closed doors : ).

...the client's username?

My situation: I got contacted for a rendezvous by a client having for username "Chester the Molester"

Am I the only one finding this totally creepy and/or simply of poor taste?

It would be appropriate if he would identify himself as an adept of BDSM and the name refers to his dominant personality. But it's not the case here.

Nevertheless, I asked him for a minimum of two solid references and surprisingly I didn't hear back from him.

based on your comfort level, but real molesters don't carry a sign around their neck...

I don't doubt a second that the guy has no criminal record. I'm more concerned about the "particular" sense of humour. Why would someone want to give that as a first impression?

Or maybe am I too serious? :b

Its stupid to give that impression.. Based on your comfort level, you made the right decision.

No where it says that you have to suck ever single cock that asks for appointment..

'Chester the Molester' was a disgusting cartoon strip that Hustler Magazine used to publish.  The strip's author, Dwaine Tinsley, was eventually convicted & served jail time for molesting his 13 year-old daughter.   His conviction was later overturned due to 1st amendment issues--apparently his comic strip was used as 'evidence' against him.  It was a sordid, ugly mess (see link).

I think your instincts are sound in rejecting people who use that kind of degrading online persona.  He's either:
1) Not serious & a time waster
2) Serious in the worst kind of way  --z

Well you're just looking out for yourself. It's just about the type of clients you want to be meeting. Would you want to be with someone who names themselves by a name like that? It does seem like a creepy name and in poor taste even if it's a joke or something, but that's just not my opinion.

Not refused, but one recognized the reference and asked me about it.

That one really creeped me out.  Why would anyone take a date with someone calling themselves the crypkeeper in their email adress.  Sometimes I turn the email down becasue of language and tone.  hate those that come in the middle of the night with just "u available?"  right, I am jumping out of bed to see a drunk frat boy.

I figure...if she looks at that email address and gets so worked up over that, it's not gonna be a good session to begin with.

Fine with me.

She thought I was LE and wouldn't see me.

It's actually just the code to my wall safe...wait, maybe this isn't the place to discuss that.

So far, the usernames I've encountered have been normal.
