Agree with PanAm on the wording of a 10 as "once in a lifetime" - no way any 'provider' is capable of delivering that kind of experience for me, at least not under this context. And as for looks, it's utterly impossible, there are way too many hot women in the world - a 10 does not exist as far as I'm concerned if we're calling it "once in a lifetime", cause there's another beauty around the corner.

Also the redundant and monotonous task of entering all that profile info, when the profile never gets updated. Either change it so that the profile gets updated when that information is submitted, or do away with that process completely.

I don't really care about how long it takes to approve them, why are people so fucking antsy to see their review posted? I already know what happened, I was there, the review is for others to read, so not my problem. lol

Because typically a visitor is in and out of town within three days or less. Even at their best, TER has never been that fast at getting them through. Best case scenario; you submit one on her first day in town and maybe it gets posted the day she's leaving - too late when you consider their perpetual demand for pre-booking.

This is why people post mini's on their regional board. If you think TER is going to start turning reviews over within a days time, don't hold your breath.

Secondly, I am not big on TOFTT, and being that they almost always have reviews before I see them anyway, I seldom write them. A girl who has 5 pages of reviews doesn't need me to write one more. I usually ask them if they want one, and if yes, I do. Usually they say they don't care, in which case I don't care either, so I don't write one. When I do write them, I'm seldom adding anything that isn't known about her already, so when it shows up makes no difference.

And even with the shoe on the other foot, I still don't care - there is no one out there that I'm that desperate and anxious to see. A new girl's review will show up when it shows up, or maybe she never will have one. Doesn't matter. Many fish in the sea, and the ocean is vast.

The appearance numbers are a joke and always will be. No two men look at a woman the same way.  Don't worry about trying to fix it. You can't.

The inconsistencies in what qualifies as an approved review and what doesn't seem to be the biggest problem.  The length of time reviews take to get approved is a problem but it would be less of a problem if waiting a bit longer meant more consistency over-all.

Situational Leeway doesn't work. There has to be a documented criteria for what needs to be in a review and what doesn't.  It seems clear based on the complaints of the membership here that not all of the TER review approvers are  on the same page. Maybe a review needs to be read by more than one person before it gets a thumbs up or thumbs down. Perhaps reviews could be assigned in batches to a group of two or three readers who would give it a collective thumbs up or thumbs down.

I'll chime in on a theme others have bitched on.  The descriptor for number 10 designation should not be "Once in a lifetime".  Otherwise, no one should ever be able to use this rating more than once, 'kay?
My vote for descriptor for #10 looks:   Centerfold model quality
My vote for  descriptor for #10 performance:  Mind blowing beyond belief

I'm all ears for other suggestions.
Something should be done, though.  I have an Asian fav that I would like to rate a 10 in looks, but I can't bring myself to do it with the current ridiculous descriptor.

I have only submitted 5 reviews in my not so many months around. Two of wich were unapproved I could see why, I think the provider info section may give some folks trouble in getting reviews approved. Some one mentioned just putting in the providers ID no. ofcourse the issue would arise if you were a digit off or jumbeld up the no. it does look like if you follow the ruels reviews get approved. I think the sheer volume of reviews might be the issue when they accidently don't get approved. Speaking from in experience.

Issues regarding the profiles, such as the lame descriptions for each of the rating levels. Some are OK, and some are misleading, IMO. Also, why should I have to re-enter the profile info (maybe I don't) if it won't be used in the database. It would be nice if every reviewers profile info was databased and available for searches.

The second area, which seems to have people steamed, is the review process. Reviews being changed. Wildly inconsistent criteria (too detailed versus not enough detail) for reviews. Time for approval. You name it.

These two areas have completely different solutions.

Lorena, You are clearly an example of a provider that deserves 10s in looks!  Unfortunately, under the current system, those of us that take things literally would probably resort to a 9.  It really isn't fair to providers this beautiful!

Whatever policy is required to pen an approvable review should be posted in the review guidelines.  TER should not leave things up to the arbitrary discretion of the approvers as to whether something is or isn't approvable.  There will always be judgment calls, certainly, but the guidelines should substantially address all the approval factors.  Approvers should not be allowed to make up policy as they go along.

Under no circumstances should approvers be allowed to unilaterally change review content and post without notice.  This has happened to me.

The whole disapproval / mystery reason / delayed resolution scenario sucks.  Ideally, if a review is submitted and it cannot pass muster for some reason, that fact should be communicated to the reviewer by the approver while the review awaits resolution and attempt to resolve or repair the review to mutual satisfaction.  The current operational concept that simply disapproves the review and doesn't even inform the reviewer of the disapproval or reason is crap.

I submitted what I thought was a perfectly compliant review on 1/30.  I checked the site daily for the status.  On 2/4 I saw that the review had been disapproved, no reason provided, of course.  On 2/4 I submitted a Feedback / Contact Us requesting that TER supply the reason why the review was disapproved and to cite the part of the review guidelines that had been violated.  It's eleven days later and I have no idea why TER ruled that the review was disapproved; I've heard nothing back from TER.  That's what I was meaning in one of my bitchy review threads when I said this was a broken process...

Thanks for posting this thread, mod!

While approvers should not alter the substance of a review, it should be OK to edit for mis-spellings, lack of paragraphs (I was justly criticised for this in my first review), and sentences that are nearly inchorent.  Some reviews are written so badly that they're just hard to read and, therefore, not as helpful as they could be to other hobbyists.  There is also a great deal of inconsistency in the level of detail.  Some rattle on too long, others are so short there's almost no info.

You have to learn several techniques:

1) read the reviews, don't just go by numbers - and especially one or two out of line ratings.  i always read at least 5-10 reviews to get a feel for how the session islikely to go.

2) The TER rules define the maximum a provider can get by what is offered:
"In order to keep our performance ratings consistent, we set up the following system: An escort provider is only eligible to earn up to a 7, unless she is willing to perform one or some of the following during a session: Kisses With Tongue, Bare-Back Blow Job, Really Bi, and Anal Sex. For each of these services that are offered, her potential max score is raised by one point, with 10 as an absolute maximum."

Thus if a provider only offers one of these, then 8 is the highest she can get.  I've seen a few providers with whom the experience was tremendous, mind-blowing sensual sex, but could only give them 8 or 9 because of what they offered.  In fact my top 2 alltime favorite providers are not eligible for anything higher than a 9 under this system.  I don't really care if they offer anal sex or are bi, so I don't hold that against them, and an otherwise sensual positive attitude can far outweight failure to offer BBBJ.

3) The form is confusing in some respected.  For example, there is a section entitled "actual services provided"  - and yet one of the choices is "Don't know" --- I mean, either she did it or not, how can you review someone and say you "don't know" if she let you perform DATY or let you cum in her mouth?  I think the form could be better revised to have a section for services offered (where the "I don't know" response would be appropriate, and another section for actual services provided in the session.

4) The failure to somehow list/identify banned providers, particularly those who have been banned for self posting is a real weakness - I'd rather have a provider flagged as a "one who has been caught self posting" and then have the option to decide what I want to do.  She may also have a few legit reviews from reviewers i trust, and thus be worth a visit anyway.  That would also let me avoid wasting time researching and wondering about the unknown/unreviewed providers on services like BP - with pics so hot they continually draw you back to wonder, but the absence of reviews makes it risky to try them (and I enjoy occassionally finding great experiences among those postings)

5) Timeliness - is another issue I'd address - perhaps after a reviewer has X - 50 plus for example) reviews and perhaps can be verified by one or more established providers via a service or the white list, reviews by those reviews might be posted immediately - and if TER wants to delay "credit" or reserve the right to later remove - that's fine, but often I find good reviews don't show up until after the provider leaves town - something the mini's address in part - but I'd rather read the reviews for details.

6) Allow new reviewers to go back and adjust ratings after a while - when I posted my first few reviews, I was still learning what was a great experience and what was average - and in retrospect probably would rate some of my early reviews lower.

7) perhaps Show each reviewers average score and average deviation from the mean for all reviewers - that way if someone who consistently gives 7s but is also averages 2 under the mean, we can know thye are just a low rater, whereas someone who always scores above average but gives someone a 6 - tells us they had a really bad experience.

1. Eliminate the "point docking" for a lady opting not to engage in certain activities/being into women. No one I've ever seen has been concerned about me being straight as an arrow, so why is TER so bothered by it? Gimme back my performance 10s! :p

2. Relax a little on allowing a lady's first review. My first 2 or 3 were rejected because I wasn't "established", yet I had been around for a couple of years and had 10-15 reviews on several other sites -- I was only a newbie to TER. A single Google search could have shown I was legitimate. The strictness with first reviews is so unhelpful in getting more ladies to use the site for advertising/discussions. Many ladies I've spoken with have decided to never, ever deal with TER because of how difficult it is to get a foot in the door here.

The expediency of the review process is not for the benefit of the reviewer, but for the benefit of others who might like to learn something about a lady, perhaps before she leaves town.  Review expediency may also benefit a visiting lady as well as her clients (or alternatively, spare them from each other!).  In other words, the review is not something you do for yourself, but something you do for others.  We know that you know what happened.  That's irrelevant.  Others want to know what happened; that's why we write the reviews, right?  The review is for the benefit others, so it is your 'problem', unless your reviews aren't actually intended for the benefit of others, in which case you have a completely valid point.  See what I mean?  On the flip side, a review written by someone other than yourself is for the benefit of others, among whom you are now included.  Is review expediency important now that it might benefit you?  You've got your eye on a girl and her tour is just about up in your town.  You think you'd like to, but...  Wouldn't a timely review be handy?

I'd love to somehow see 'services provided' decoupled from 'performance'.  Some of us are completely freakin' blown away (performance = 11) by a lady who provides exactly the services we are looking for but who may not perform other services required by TER for an escalated performance score.  TER's performance formula incorrectly requires service types for an escalated score.  These two things are not related.  Performance should be based on the experience of the client according to the client's perceptions and fulfillment of expectations.

But I certainly did not feel the girl was "once in a lifetime". I guess the review was changed because she did provide the criteria-bbbj, dfk, and anal.

But the fact of the matter is, that's the way I saw them.

I don't HAVE to pay to get laid. I do it by choice.

But in all actuality, you pay for it. One way or the other.

So. I choose to see women that advertise a price for their time. I talk with them, and eventually meet them.

I found them physically attractive to begin with. That's why I made the effort.

Then after conversations, I found them mentally attractive.

Sorry. I'm not one of those fools that just wants to stick his dick in some lady that doesn't have anything worthwhile to say. Conversation is a form of foreplay. Especially when the both of you are laying there nekkid, with your guard down.

I don't give a fuck what anyone says. I know for a fact I can call so-and-so up right now, make a date for tomorrow, of course as long as our schedule's mesh, and that's that.

I HAVE to be the most easiest going guy, besides mrfisher, as far as meeting a lady. There's no doubt in my mind.

If I went to Vegas tomorrow. I could make more appointments than I could handle.

Part of the deal, they know they're going to get stellar reviews. Why? Because they made the time to talk with me before we actually make our dates.

I only see hot ladies. In my mind, anyway.

And it certainly doesn't take away from the fact when I get PMs(when I was VIP), emails and phone calls from guys wanting to set up dates with ladies I've seen.

Kinda gives you the warm fuzzies when you have 10 reviews, and someone you know with 30, 50 or even close to 100 reviews asks YOU about a certain lady. But I digress....

So. Seeing as how I'm a damn goodlooking man. Have a better than average dick and know how to use it. As well as my ability to go down on a lady and make her squirm in delight, I have certain liberties.

Like it or not, that's the way it is. No alias here, and if any of the ladies I've seen would like to call 'bullshit', here I am. ;)

I realize not everyone is oscar fucking wilde, but some are hard to read and dont tell me much, while others are nicely written and really give me a sense of the provider. I would like to have a review of the week where the best written review that week is made available so that the rest of us can learn to write better stuff.

Increased transparentness of the process and take away the review gods ability to modify reviews.

Out of the ones he brought up #2 is by far the most important one. The lady out of the ones I have reviewed that should be ratted highest based on performance only got a 7 because of the rating cap. Why should I be forced to penalize a lady for not offering services that ether carry increased risk (BBBJ, anal), don't participate in (DFK, anal), or don't apply when I am not in a doubles session (really bi)? When I TOFTT I usually don't even know about all but the BBBJ thing even after my session. So TER says I can't ever give a lady I see a 10 even if I think she earned one.

the SINGLE BIGGEST PROBLEM with the TER review process is the idiotic inconsistencies by the "reviewers of our reviews".

I write a VERY detailed review, and it gets unapproved for lack of details.  Another writes a review that, quite literally, read like this, and it was APPROVED:

GOOD TIME    GOOD TIME    GOOD TIME   GOOD TIME   GOOD TIME    GOOD TIME   GOOD TIME
GOOD TIME    GOOD TIME    GOOD TIME   GOOD TIME   GOOD TIME    GOOD TIME   GOOD TIME

So someone could give a 10 to a lady who looked beautiful and sucked his toes all night if that got him off better than anything else ever had. Now, is that useful? I dunno, but that is what I am suggesting...

2. Add two new scores, rated 1-10 called PSE and GFE. Each is tied pretty directly to a menu of services and how well they are performed. GFE would be about kissing, DATY, BBBJ, and all those other things your girlfriend would do with you.

PSE would be about anal, raw passion, toys, role play, bi-sexuality and all those special little things some of us love like prostate play, DATO, rimming and all that.

You want a tiger who will blow your doors off - go for a PSE 10; you want a snuggly girl who will make you feel love, appreciated and well screwed, look for a GFE 10.

3. Put up review approval/disapproval deadlines that you will actually follow. I know there will be actual backlogs at times, so...

4. Provide more feedback. Yeah, I know that is just more work, and many of the bitches here will just bitch more, but if there is backlog and reviews are taking two weeks to approve when the guideline is two days, post that you are behind but working on it, and hope to catch up in X days, will keep everyone updated. Tell people why a review was unapproved (remember these guys are customers, and the reviews are the product that makes TER go, so you have two reasons to be nicer to reviewers). Yes, I understand the amount of work involved may be close to impossible. But since there is so much room to improve review feedback, almost anything would be better.

And do not ever change anyone's review. If you want to change it, disapprove it and PM them with your suggested changes, but let the reviewer do it him/herself.

5. Change almost all the score descriptions. Yes, a performance score of 10 should just be called "Fucking Awesome," pun intended, but I do believe most of the descriptions are out of synch with how the scores are being used. I do believe that changing that one description is necessary, while the others are just nice to have, but I think they are all ready for some updating.

6. Leave the rules somewhat vague and use your best judgment. That is the only way it will work.

7. Reviewers - accept and enjoy the fact that reviews are all over the map and review approval will always meander along with them. Also understand that we all get moderated, we all get reviews disapproved, maybe have edits suggested, and while that is always a bit annoying, it does not mean there is anything wrong with the process. And do not play the game of - "How come mind got disapproved, when this one did not." That is grade school shit, it never worked with your Mom, and if it works here the site will be dead.

8. How does a provider's profile page change? I am pretty sure that reviews do not, or only once in a blue moon, change it. I am guessing it happens because someone files a problem report, or the provider updates it. So, for example, there are providers out there who have been between 21 and 26 yo for 10 years, rates showing as $200/hour for providers who charge twice that (though that does seem to get corrected somehow, wonder why...) and some other absurd things. If we do need to fill out a current profile with each review, which is a good idea, then some method of incorporating it into the review we can see should also be set up. So maybe each review also displays its own set of the profile information, and the main profile says something like "Provider Profiles are set up for new Providers and updates as time allows. Check the most recent reviews for more current profile information."

That is all I can think of for now. And, yeah, maybe I am involved in other web sites with some responsibility for managing reviews and moderation related to other types of hobbies. And, at times, the attitude of the reviewers and moderators here makes me shake my head. So maybe, people need to take a month off twice a year to fight the inevitable burnout that results in viewing the posters and reviewers as the flawed assholes we all are. I mean, the point of view is correct, but dealing with us like you are the lion trainer and we are the savage beasts, well, you might consider whether that is being realistic or making the situation worse.

And show Hirogen some special love for his reviews, the boy clearly needs to feel special.

Okay, gotta stop now, I am getting carried away. I do like TER's review database, though having explored some other, more free form review systems, I see merit in those, too. Speaking of which, does someone at TER search for other review sites and make notes on what they do that is different and interesting? Besides listening to us whiners, that is another great way to improve things - benchmark yourself against the competition and work to get better.

Rather interesting feedback to say the least.  What people seem to desire is an objective review system that will forever be subjective in reality.

The number of references to reviews being edited by the "TER reviewers" is surprising, as we've been told time and time again that they are not to do editing.  Also, I've always received feedback when a review has not been approved.  Surprised to hear so many say they don't receive any feedback.

The idea of using GFE/PSE is not a good one, IMO.  Hell, there's never, IN THE HISTORY OF THE UNIVERSE, been a consensus on what GFE is!!  LOL

I just want the facts, ma'am.  Is she good-looking; are the pictures a real representation.  Is she CBJ or BBBJ?  Does she allow DATY?.  Does she DFK, LFK or not kiss at all?  Does she spit or swallow?  Are those titties real of enhanced?  I like adding some criteria on the ass; who doesn't love a good ass, eh?

We can criticize all we want...but the bottom line is that with a little effort on the hobbyist's part, it's not all that bad in it's current state.  But it is time for some changes...in the short 5 years or so I've been around, I don't recall any changes to the review system.  And change is good, no?

Cheers..and Hobby Safe, my friends!

Sadly, I've got to agree with most of what you say.  Re GFE, I do think most people agree it's DFK, BBBJ, DATY, MSOG, at a minimum.  As for PSE,  that's even worse.  Some think it means BBFS (I don't think so) and Greek (sometimes yes, sometimes no, sometimes for more $$).  I agree I've always gotten feedback when a review is unapproved.  The only exception is in a thread I started further down this page.

...the one I submitted 1/30 and which was disapproved on 2/4.  TER's reason for disapproval given today was that the approvers were confused.  But now they are not confused, seemingly, since the disapproved review is now approved and posted with no changes to the original review.

See what I mean?

We should have the option not to post any because I do not really like to air certain details of my meetings...

this site is for the hobbysts not the providers so why should a review be approved quickly to benefit the lady??

that is your option, but I think its a form of welfare if you are using this board to gather knowledge without contributing reviews.   Sorry Just Saying.

1. To complete the provider profile for an existing profile is nonsense.
There are a lot of duplicates in the system.
2. To have two separate sections is meaningless anymore. You need VIP status to read both.
Eliminate one section to complete.
3. The rating system is fine, if it get followed. There are times when there is a 10 for performance when it is clearly not justified.

Are there any statics for ratings, ie. ## rated 1, ## rated 2 and so on.
You should find that a rating of 10 should only be given less than 5% of the time and that ratings of 5-7 should be around 80% of the time. I am sure this is not the case, because lately I have seen a lot of 10s given out and I find it hard to believe based upon the rating system in place. I know a provider in particular that receives a lot of 10's, but never does CIM, COF or anal. Yet when you question the review, it just gets denied without explanation.
